mindwarpit didn't help
i will try that \amethyst
thank you both
\amethyst: thanks, that worked like a charm. how would i go about making it permanent? just add "set t_kD=^V<Delete>" to .vimrc
?
uhm, are there equivalents of set t_kD for pgup and pgdown? i need to fix those as well. thanks!
frogonwheelsif you press :map CTRL+V and then the <pageup> key etc - and then type <pageup>
or you could map t_K3
I mean set t_Ke (:help t_K3
mindwarpactually typing "<pageup>" as the last arg to the map command?
frogonwheelsThat would work, but you'd have to map all modes.
probably better to :set t_K3
mindwarpok
is that for pgup or pgdown? (K3)
frogonwheels:help t_K3
mindwarpok
thanks
K3 and K5. perfect
h4lfl1nghello!
im using vim70, and when i try to use the arrow keys in edit mode..it writes "A, B, C, D" depending on the arrow key pressed
is there a setting that is making this happen?
mindwarph4lfl1ng: yeah, that's exactly the kind of problem i'm having
i think i put something in .vimrc to fix that
let me look
h4lfl1ng: see this from the help: http://pastebin.ca/449407
h4lfl1ng: :help t_ku
then you can :set t_ku=<Ctrl+V><UpArrow> , :set t_kd=<Ctrl+V><DownArrow> , etc
that, or maybe other more experienced folks in here have a better idea. i'm a newbie
h4lfl1ng:D less than me
mindwarpi just found all that out a minute before you arrive
arrived*
so good timing
is it possible to force off the creation of viminfo in .vimrc? i had `` set viminfo='20,\"500 '' but .viminfo continues to be created even after removing that line.
can i `` set viminfo=off '' or something like that?
\amethystmindwarp: :set viminfo=
mindwarpthanks.
SAS_Spidey01125x34 (full screen konsole) just begs for :sp / :vsp 'ing files hehehe
Chap00lini installed Vim v7.0 in a separate directory than v6.3. When i do "./vim test" it turns out the old version is running. why?
ipkissbecause you do it in the wrong directory? :)
