boydHmm.. does anyone remember the name of the cpy that is doing the funky postgresql clustery stuff
... with multiple nodes and query load distribution?
rellikwhat're the .vimrc commands to change tabs to spaces, and make it only use 2 spaces per tab?
tpopeset et sw=2 sts=2
or install rails.vim and forget about it
rellikI have some other rails thing installed for vim
boydD'oh, no wonder I got no answer... wrong channel :)
tpopewhat?
there is only rails.vim
relliktpope, don't remember.. something off sourceforge
tpopeyour loss I guess
rellikheh are you "tim pope"?
tpopeyes
rellik:)
well I will try to figure out how to uninstall the rails/vim thing I have now.. it slows down my machine
tpopeI don't know what you found, but I've never heard of it
and I get around
http://sourceforge.net/projects/vimrails/
0 files released
rellikmaybe http://vim.sourceforge.net/scripts/script.php?script_id=349
tpopethat shouldn't slow things down
2002-07-22 though
a newer version comes with vim
vim-ruby is the other major project
I work on it too
but it's for ruby, nothing particularly for rails
rellikhmm.. in my .vim/syntax folder I have ruby.vim and eruby.vim
tpopesounds like you got vim-ruby
it includes those files, among others
older versions come with vim itself
rellikif I get rid of those and put rails.vim in their place, is that all I need to do to uninstall/install?
tpopewell they don't conflict, you can have both if you want
there's also files in .vim/indent, .vim/ftplugin, and .vim/autoload
rails.vim is just two files, plugin/rails.vim and doc/rails.txt
rellikwow rails.vim looks great
just wish it came with some sort of tutorial.. the doc seems to have a really stepp learning curve for the casual vim user
s/steep/stepp
tpoperellik: well, it helps to know rails and vim first
beyond that, the docs shouldn't be too bad
heavy reading, but nothing that can't be coped with
