GeekChick|is there a particular reason xubuntu-desktop is using virtual workspace #2 by default when it is installed ontop of a Ubuntu install? Is workspace 1 reserved for Gnome?
piglitXPertKnobTwiddlr: you probably wont get use of the full 1.5GB/s annyway the drive's are much slower than 1.5GB/s
ubunturuleswhy does the ISO keep screwing up from update
nekohayohello folks, did anything change with DMA or something in 7.04? the liveCD takes 7 minutes to boot, whereas the 6.10 one takes 2 minutes 30 secs
ubunut_noob1omg, it take 2 hours just to download truetype font
alleyoopsterreevesj: k3b gives md5 checksum, I am sure there is another util floating around
ixelaalleyoopster: im going to try to make it happen again

skallerkak -- ubuntu website is under heavy DNS attack from users :)
reevesjslytherin: and if it finishes there are no errors?
nekohayoblueyed: I have a friend with 4GB having the same problem over the phone
blueyednekohayo: it's known to be slow with 256 at least.
ubunturuleswell im trying to upgrade and it keeps erroring out after so long
danikhanguys obviously ubuntu servers are under great stress so stop complaining about being slow

preglowhey, anyone know why there is no restricted module package for the lowlatency kernel? (amd64)
ubotuh0ax: kismet: Wireless 802.11b monitoring tool. In component universe, is optional. Version 2006.04.R1-1.1 (edgy), package size 964 kB, installed size 2448 kB
naknomikI did some search on this issue but don't find a clear answer. There is a FAQ on jmicron site which suggest using 'all-generic-ide=1' boot option, which doesn't seem to work.
