digitalspaghettii've searched the forum, but everything seems to be about mounting drives on the same PC

gbjkHelping would be nice, obviously, but I have too many others to help.
pjeroHello all Im looking for some help ! My M2N32 _SLI Deluxe MoBo's integrated sound card isnt detected..... (asus) any suggestions ?
nisqgbjk: Thanks for the advice
holycowdigitalspaghetti, cool stuff, welcome :)
reunajim_: are U using usb-hub?
gbjknisq: The others were right, though. You should only install from source if you have a good reason.
My good reason is simple: I frequently want to change the source of the things I'm installing, or see what they are doing.
jim__reuna: nope, straite into the back of my comp (i dont think its usb 2.0 tho)
gbjkDoing so is much easier if the source that was actually installed is readily available.
If you aren't going to do that, then there's much less reason to install from source.
nisqgbjk: Sometimes it works.... but if it doesnt... I end up using a package manager
gbjkException being if you're installing something like apache, and want it to work with several lower modules, which need compiling at the sametime.
nisqgbjk... the ubuntu LAMP tutorials are great
drumlineLAMPs are only useful when they are 300 watts or better.
actiongbjk dislikes "LAMP"
gbjkdislikes "LAMP"
buzzwords annoy me.
Especially ajax.
