arrenlexOh. So it is. Weird.
KenSentMeubuntu, launchpad may be under maintenance at the moment.
zcat[1]oops
tj239kensent, sorry, I thought I'd find someone who was informed and knew
KenSentMearrenlex, there was a post about that on the mailinglist
klimraamkosieKenSentMe: That's not fun, I seem to get it fixed every now and then, but I have to restart X.
shriphanih1st0: i changed my sources.list thrice since morning trying 3 different mirrors us, nl and ch. all report this E: Could not open file /var/lib/apt/lists/us.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_dapper_multiverse_source_Sources - open (2 No such file or directory)
bjornolaiklimraamkosie, maybe someone in #beryl-effects has a fix. I sometimes get that, but restarting beryl-xgl usually fixes it
foxinessgabz: after i get back to installed system i will try it "am working from live-cd" thanks for this tip
KenSentMetj239, that's why maybe you can better ask this question on the forums, so people have more time to see the question and answer it
klimraamkosie, i know, maybe ask in #ubuntu-effects
arrenlexshriphani: Are you using edgy?
shriphaniarrenlex: dapper
arrenlexshriphani: Something weird is going on with your sources.list. What are you\were you trying to achieve?
shriphaniarrenlex: sudo apt-get build-dep ffmpeg
arrenlexshriphani: Oh, I'm not familiar with apt-source, sorry.
tj239yeah, I can see how forums are less confrontational unlike IRC channels where people wear their hearts on their sleeve
actionshriphani is on the verge of drowning himself in a spoonful of water. 1 bloody source is all i need
shriphaniis on the verge of drowning himself in a spoonful of water. 1 bloody source is all i need
arrenlexshriphani: You could try easysource -- make sure to check the "source repositories" box on the first screen.
!shripani
ubotuSorry, I don't know anything about shripani - try searching on http://bots.ubuntulinux.nl/factoids.cgi
arrenlex!easysource | shripani
ubotushripani: source-o-matic is a webpage where you can (re)generate your sources.list - http://www.ubuntu-nl.org/source-o-matic
arrenlexxD Sorry, it's late.
shriphani: That was for you. Can't even spell your name right.
shriphani: Or you could just get the tarball from the ffmpeg site and compile it manually.
shriphaniarrenlex: i dont know the depedencies
hence the problem
and ffmpeg doesnt print any configure errors
it just prints errors after i run make
re-alignAnd of course...I did it in the wrong order...now tot figure out how to fix sudo...
[Tuxedo]arrenlex : Alright, I've followed everything on that web-page to a T now. At the end, when it says to use fglrxinfo, I get this: Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
klimraamkosieAbout Beryl and ontop: I just restarted X, so that's all that I can do to solve the problem...
arrenlex[Tuxedo]: pastebin /etc/X11/xorg.conf please
!pastebin | [Tuxedo]
ubotu[Tuxedo]: pastebin is a service to post large texts so you don't flood the channel. The Ubuntu pastebin is at http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org (be sure to give the URL of your paste - see also the #ubuntu channel topic)
Hellevatordoes anyone know what package contains dirent.h for C programming?
arrenlexshriphani: What are those errors?
