|BOFH_org||hole_, try with the mentioned driver.|
|hole_||ar5211.sys and net5211.inf|
driver net5211 is already installed
|charles__134657||ok, well I guess that ends that|
could some one tell if there is a log file for the firewall and where is it?
I'm trying to find out does the so called magic packet find it's way through
|charles_19834||it's in /var/log|
look for the one called firewall
it's locked though so you have to sudo for it
or su depending on how you have things set up
oh, and you might want to get into YaST and see what all it logs
most times it's set up to only log the critical things so it may not contain what you're looking for
|CJari||thanks for the tip|
|yaloki||CJari: indeed, in yast2 -> security -> firewall you can define the log levels|
CJari: then do: su -c "tail -0f /var/log/firewall"
|charles_19834||yeah, that's very useful|
|yaloki||but don't forget to turn the logging level down again after diagnosis, because it gets really verbose ^^|
|charles_19834||I do that at work a lot|
|action||scx hands few cookies to yaloki|
|scx||hands few cookies to yaloki|
|action||yaloki munch munch|
|charles_19834||heh, taking cookies from strangers|
|action||scx is strange but never an stranger|
|scx||is strange but never an stranger|
|CJari||good tips, thanks!|
I'm now encouraged to ask if you know how to run some sort of automatic network adapter script?
I mean detecting/proping tool
because I installed new card
|charles_19834||and you want to find it?|
|gianny||how i can check smart on my usb hdd?|
|charles_19834||you don't really need a script to find it|
it should have found it at startup, what kind of card was it?
|CJari||charles, it was found during the installation of suse but I to uninstall it and use other card|
now there's two cards 3Com's and this new wireless
but it is not detected...
