imaginehehehe
jengelhfreakabcd: not offhand
freakabcdjengelh, so its a problem with the packages? cos there is a lkh-2.6.18.2-34 package
for the previous kernel

Ranbeehi, does anyone know anything that would conflict with nvidia-gfx-kmp-xx. i can't get it to install. i'm using the nv driver atm and it's total rubbish!
is the vesa driver better then nv? do i just change nv for vesa in my xorg to use it?
erikjaaka_druid, I said SORRY!!
Ranbee!vesa
vzduchRanbee: rpm or manual install?
Ranbeevzduch: both, i been trying since yesterday when i updated the kernel
vzduchwhat does the installer log say?
Ranbeevzduch: the nvidia install said it install perfectly at the time, but i've uninstalled it since then
AlbertoPwhere can I find the bug report about the kernel patch which alters the grub entries?
jengelhfreakabcd: I said it's _not_ a problem of lkh
because lkh are the files in /usr/include which are TOTALLY IRRELEVANT to kernel compilation
freakabcdnot kernel compilation
:)
jengelhlkh is the linux kernel headers for userspace programs that wish to use kernel constants
Ranbeevzduch: the errors said there were no nvidia and xgl modules, so they failed to load, but they were both there
freakabcdjengelh, and vmware seems to get borked when its trying to figure out the version!
Ranbeei had an error about GLX visuals too
jengelhso vmware is borked perhaps
vzduchRanbee: ran sax2 after install?
freakabcdjengelh, wrr.. i've installed from that tarball on 2 other machines!
jengelhyou could have used the rpm...
freakabcdtheres a server rpm ?
Ranbeevzduch: yes, i installed the driver about 10 times and ran all the sax options i found
none of them worked
vzduch10.2? or older?
Ranbee10.2
vzduchshould work then.. I had no such problem
Ranbeelol
vzduchthough I had one back in 9.3.. I had to add the module to modprobe.conf(?) manually
and edit xorg.conf by hand to use the nvidia module
Ranbeei tried that too, but it didn't work
w00psone queistion why doesn't have gnome 10.2 WEP - TKIP =
?
Ranbeeoh, i just ran modprobe nvidia, without adding it anywhere
