jontec_okay, there's a link to new tests, I'd downloading the spreadsheet. (and I was looking at the time per test, it was like 17 for single process and 19 for 5 processes)
riqn:D
elvin|coderarhg, that set_primary_key (as well as overriding primary_key) does not help. I still get that 'undefined method `stringify_keys!' for "my id here":String' exception...
leethalelvin|coder: huhm?
elvin|coder: pastie some code, please
elvin|coder: http://pastie.caboo.se
elvin|coderoh, thanks
pastebin.com behaves... weird
leethal: that's it: http://pastie.caboo.se/52409
leethalno idea if it has any effect, but did you try using primary_key instead of set_primary_key?
elvin|coderthe table itself is two simple string columns, name and propValue
yep, aaand it says the number of parameters is wrong
leethalI don't think that's what does it
elvin|coder"wrong number of arguments (1 for 0)"
leethalwhat is the plan with the attr_accessible stuff?
and all those methods, what are they?
elvin|coderahm, as for attr_accessible - no idea. copied from "agile web development". JiveProperty.get is a class method for retrieving propValue for the given name, it just wraps the creation of JiveProperty object.
get is the wrapper for retrieve, which is basically call to a database.
leethalwhen do you get that error you mentioned?
RubyPantherelvin|coder: if you don't know what it does, don't do it
that's called "black magic" and it's a bad idea
leethal10/10 for that one
RubyPantherlook up each part you're going to use in the api before using it, if your tut doesn't explain what it's for
elvin|coderleethal: when I call 'JiveProperty.get(name)', on the line with call to 'new()'
leethalah
elvin|coderRubyPanther: yep, 100% agreed, yet circumstances did not allow me to check... :)
leethalelvin|coder: take a look on your methods =P
RubyPantherelvin|coder: ah, I see your problem
elvin|coder: .new(foo) is wrong
leethalelvin|coder: does the JiveProperty#get method take any parameters?
and new(foo) is also wrong
RubyPantheryou need .new( attr => val 0
oops
0 was )
it tries to do stringify_keys! for the parameter to new
leethaloh, silly me
nvm
but RubyPanther is right
elvin|coderleethal: no, get does not take any params
RubyPantherit should have a better error message than that, I'd consider that a "bug" for it not to complain better
