warren_oracle does it in their webcache products
ReinHwarren_: ok, but this is rails.
tpopedagbrown: window manager or drug?
or vowel?
warren_ReinH: i'd really rather not get into it
ReinHalrighty
_thom_ok, dumb followup Q, but from the api.rubyonrails.com site, what's the fastest way to read their docs on the form.select method, please?
tpope_thom_: look in the method pain for select in the FormBuilder class
as for the last part, you just have to know that
warren_so i'll ask again, is there a good way to take a url and process it as a sub-request? render_component seems close, but i'd need to run a URL through routes.rb first... not ideal
argoe_thom_: use gotapi.com. It's much easier to use and find what you're looking for
ReinHwarren_: no. there is not. and I was trying to explain why.
rails is not designed to efficiently process a url as a subrequest, so there is not an easy way to do it
|PiP|ReinH: well is there a way to find all my referrals referrals using through without using a join table?
ReinH|PiP|: no.
|PiP|since everything references back to the same model
ReinH|PiP|: that's what the join table is *for*
farskiif I'm using a join table to link a table back to itself, how do I set up the HABTM?
_thom_man, do I feel dumb. even trying to look in that site I'm striking out so far
