RubyPanthermaybe there is some error message
david_ci just get a NoMethodError
jgeigerhello, anyone currently using http_authentication on edge?
dabaRHi. I am wondering how I can pass parameters to the redirect_to method.
I have a page that sends params to paypal, and I would like to add an intermediate method that would intercept the params, do something, and then send them off to paypal.
RubyPantherjust use a helper method that does whatever and then calls redirect_to
dabaRya, but I need to pass those same params to redirect_to.
How?
WhatThehi guys, i've setup mongrel/apache2.2.x/capistrano and i'm using slingshot's deployment script http://www.slingshothosting.com/support/capistrano. I ran "cap setup" like they said and then "cap cold_deploy" but i think cold_deploy is deleting all configuration files "cap setup" creates and so mongrel_cluster.yml and other files dont exist and the server cant start... any ideas?
_thom_when I ask for 'attributes' of a class (eg to pass to Builder), do I get back an array of strings?
ypSamiPerhaps this isn't the place, but.. what is the general consensus on a javacript right-click menu?
dabaRmy method, call it 'redirect', is given a params hash. How do I use this hash with the redirect_to method?
RubyPanther_thom_: most classes don't have that, it's usually an instance method that returns a hash
_thom_yeah, I just found out that Hash doesn't define the - (minus sign) operator ;)
I'm trying to exclude a few items from that hash I get back
RubyPantheryou could use inject
there is probably something more elegant, but I'm not thinking of it right now
bobesponjahey all, sorry for the OT but can you guys access your gmail right now?
_thom_yes.
RubyPantherdoesn't anybody plug bsd anymore?! jeeze
_thom_OS X is a version of BSD, at one level. ;)
dabaRA controller method, call it 'redirect', is given a params hash, as usual. How do I use this hash with the redirect_to method? Or something to that extent?
ReinHdabaR: um... sounds like bad design
dabaRReinH: Maybe so. I want to create an order in a e-store app after the person clicks proceed to payment(which posts some hidden fields to paypal) I want to intercept this post to paypal with my own method, and redirect the params to the paypal URL. I am intercepting so that I can create the order in the same method.
ReinHdabaR: why aren't you using paypal's API?
dabaRReinH: I have to use their Website Payments Standard service, cause I am in Canada.
_thom_if I'm using ruby-debug, and look at local vars, say I have a proc. How can I look inside of that proc object to see its vars and state?
ReinHdabaR: ah
coldredlemur_hi. i have a question about webrick. why won't the following stream output http://pastie.caboo.se/50878
ReinHcoldredlemur_: #ruby-lang
coldredlemur_oh okay. thanks
pstickne_thom_, can you step into it?
_thom_pstickne - I think I missed my chance to
so now it's already instantiated and I'm wondering whether I can just examine it
pstickneI'd likely just but a beakpoint inside of it.
_thom_, you -can- but...
_thom_v[ar] i[nstance] <object> show instance variables of object
pradalovercan someone help me install rubyonrails
_thom_I don't know how to refer to <object> in this case
pstickne(eval "variables", proc.binding).inject({}) {|m,v| m[v] = eval v, proc.binding; m} # or some such...
