ElricVIIIi dunno maybe rails has negative IDs in mind
hhaamupostgresql doesn't have unsigned integers. it also doesn't have mediumints and other odd stuff mysql has.
migrations are sort of aimed at the lowest common denominator.
or that's the impression I've got
ElricVIIIhhaamu but wouldn't it make sense if i specified it and then if it didn't apply to that database it just gets thrown out
ReinHHow's it going folks?
hhaamuperhaps.
zorglu_q. i know prototype/scriptaculous provide some 'inline editing', i would like a 'inline <select>'. does this exist ? where should i look ?
hmm apparently it is simply called InPlaceSelect, but doesnt exist in my rails1.1.6 :)
BigFischCan anyone help me out with this => http://railsforum.com/viewtopic.php?pid=18609#p18609
KnockrWhat are the possible types in migrations for columns? As of now, I'm aware of string, text and datetime. What about others, eh?
pdknockr, look at the ActiveBase::Migration rdocs, they're listed there
or ActiveRecord, sorry
alexkuebodoes mod_fcgi support "SetEnv RAILS_ENV ...."?
lakbuwhat's the best way of writing a custom error messages during validate that wont involve the attribute name?
alexkuebolakbu, you could overwrite error_messages_for()
dimi3lakbu: or you could try add_to_base
alexkueboinvolving the attribute-name is hardcoded in Errors.full_messages
lakbuAlexKuebo, yes.
AlexKuebo, how to overwrite error_messages_for?
alexkuebodefine a method in you ApplicationHelper
dimi3lakbu: maybe you're searching for @object.errors.on('name')
lakbudimi3, but it would output like: 'Name can't be blank' .. i dont want to include name in the message
dimi3lakbu: it won't include 'name'
lakbudimi3, sure?
dimi3lakbu: yeah I was searching for it yesterday :) and I just checked again
roygbivis there a shorthand way in my migrate script to put a unique clause on a column other than add_index?
martins_Hi, I could need some help dissecting a SystemExit dump: http://pastie.caboo.se/50818
I Was wondering if it was an timeout HTTP.get that causes the ApplicationErrer
lakbudimi3, check it again. :)
dimi3lakbu: it's not working?
lakbudimi3, nope. it will prefix the attribute name
dimi3lakbu: p = Product.create(); p.errors.on('name') prints something like "=5 <>65 40 5 ?@07=>" (in bulgarian), without 'name' or '8<5' in it
Bongo`6 - cool.
ACFireHello
p34rdoes this line look correct?
<% if not current_user.courses.any? { |string| string == i } %>
mistergibsonwhen do the dynamic functions become available? It seems sometimes they are available and sometimes not
find_by_id and such?
hhaamup34r, it looks correct but I'm unsure whether .any? accepts blocks
