alteregoHas anyone actually got it to work?
_kaiser_alterego: I had it working... until I upgraded to the latest version.
joelmichaeldoes safari not support PUT?
_kaiser_alterego: it just wouldn't display my Custom Attributes...
it worked otherwise.
alteregoHmm ..
It just doesn't work.
Not with me.
_kaiser_hehe.
SkizReinH: hola
_kaiser_alterego: yea, it sucks :-P
TBSeraphI'm doing an observe_field, and am watching a text-box... trying to implement a live search... How do you guys make the observe field send the contents of the textbox you're watching?
SkizTBSeraph: I'd have to suggest using DelayedObserver and not the normal observer helper
it waits till you stop typing before it sends
(manual js though)

so I'm trying to use mini_magick from my model and I keep getting the 'uninitialized constant Volume::MiniMagick' exception
MiniMagick calls work from script/console though
and the plugin is in /vendor/plugins/mini_magick
any ideas on why is this happening?
TBSeraphSkiz: Hm... already did it... I've been working for nearly... 32 hours now? haha. I'm just gonna get the shat done.
Skiz: I'll look into it when I care again, lol
Skiz: Thanks though ^_^
linojis there a log file that can help me figure out why an Action Mailer msg isnt getting sent?
kainguys, I need some feedback, do you think this can be useful to someone? -> http://railswatcher.com/
axolxhey guys -- how do i test a model that inherits via STI? do i write a fixture for the parent or the subclass?
halorgiumaxolx: you write fixtures for the tables that exist, not the models
axolxhalorgium: so i can't test methods declared in a model that inherits via STI?
Skizaxolx: fixtures are for db tables
you just create a fixture for the parent class with type: SomeChild
class/table/
halorgiumaxolx: sure you can
just don't create fixtures
SkizSTI fixtures work fine
fixtures are for tables which are the persistence data for the models
axolxSkiz: if i do what you said, in the test setup method do i do subclass.find or class.find to instantiate a test object?
halorgiumSkiz: yes, but you don't have different fixtures for the subclasses
axolxhalorgium: according to Skiz you can by defining different type values in the parent class fixture
