imperatorno
AriaNah, it's not. But it works.
danfgimperator?
new2rbi have a web site which used to use PHP smarty as a template engine... as I'm trying to move to ruby.. any suggestion on what ruby-based template engine I should use? basically i want to be able to specify a single template for all pages on the site...
danfgnew2rb: ever looked into rails?
new2rbi thought rails is too big for a simple web site
danfgnew2rb: it can be as big or small as you want. if you think it's too complex, look into Camping
imperatorthere's amrita
new2rbthanks danfg.. i'll have a look on it
ToXedVirus:D
apeirosthough, those are not good by your metric as they usually don't support many languages + platforms
ToXedVirusis supposed ;)
ehirdapeiros: they're generally worse.
apeirosya, I forgot, your metric is quantity of languages.
raggiToXedVirus: I don't generally do much C/C++ work, in fact, I stay away from pre-compile langauges unless absolutely necessary.
shevyyou two guys are funny... i never imagined two mac users disagreeing that often :)
yxhuvudToXedVirus: it very often gives faster code than gcc.
raggiit seems almost every other compiler outputs faster binaries than gcc though
ToXedVirusyxhuvud, on an intel machine? :>
zorglu_q. anybody around tried to produce .swf with ruby ? i was considering ming/ruby but it seems unmaintainted/outdated, any though on that ?
shevythere is ruby-flash or so
raggiI wonder if you could use the rubyscript activex wrappers to get ruby into the same slot as javascript goes in their actionscript host system...
zorglu_ok will look
i found quite a lot about ruby ming, but no 'ruby-flash'
shevywell http://conferences.oreillynet.com/cs/os2004/view/e_sess/5117

raggiehird: did you find what you were looking for with that diffing algo?
ehirdraggi: nope
raggiehird: what are you wanting to diff?
ehirdraggi: i've told you this ;) everything
well, everything text-based
binary support comes later.
raggirsyncs diffing algo looks quite nice and simple
