Eleafdeltab, oh, cool. how do I apply that to my two bar() graphs?
since I'm not doing a subplot.
oh.. hmm
yeah, I'm not sure how to get that to work..
deltab, it's not making it transparent.
deltab, it's just not doing anything to the bargraphs..
(to anything)
oh, it is, but whenever I do savefig() it doesn't save the transparency deltab
only works with show()
deltabtry a different backend
Eleafdeltab, ..how?
and if I have show() in there, the exported file is just white.
deltabI don't know
Eleafhm..
deltab, I guess it just can't export with transparency?
seems kinda limited if so.. it certainly doesn't make it easy.
deltabwhat are you saving to?
Eleafdeltab, png, and tried svg
deltab, even when I save it from the preview window from show() (has transparency), but once it is saved, transparency is gone.
It's like it can't save with transparency, only display it..
deltab, it seems like something like matplotlib would be able to do transparency..
deltaband its does
it's just the saving part
Eleafdeltab, yeah, but it's useless if it can't save background transparency.
I mean I can change transparency on the text and stuff, but it won't be "true" transparency.
It's all just compiled into an untransparent image.
well darn, that's just messed up.
it should be easier to give transparency to elements and the background too, instead of making a subplot... and doing stuff.
darn.
I guess you just can't save with transparency in pylab...
landonf_Anyone know of semi-reusable python wiki parsing code?
This may be sufficient as a lexer
http://lucumr.pocoo.org/entry/tekisuto/
Vornicuslandonf_: MoinMoin is a wiki made in Python. Then there's Pywikipedia, which is an API for mediawiki wikis.
landonf_Thanks for the tips. Sadly neither particularly qualify as re-usable. Sigh.
I'm doing everything in my power to avoid writing an unduly painful parser to get data out of a mediawiki installation.
t35t0ran api for wikis ..man too much time
ikorhi all. please, put me a link to doc where is described procces of handling GET request by script, which is runned under mod_python
polpakikor: are you trying to build a web application? or a framework for building web applications?
