ImportError: No module named _socket <-- That's bad, right.
masterdriverzLeeds: why is that better than sets?
inhaheer AzMoo
efpheis there an object X such that isinstance(X, C) is True for each class C?
Leedsmasterdriverz: I'm not saying it's better... just wondering if set.issubset will return False if any items in foo aren't in bar, or if it checks all
inhahethat wil just make 3 references to the object though, so if you modify one it chagnes them all , i think
AzMooinhahe, ah nice, thanks.
inhahe, ah, not so nice.
masterdriverz>>> set(['foo', 'bar', 'baz']) <= set(['foo', 'bar', 'bat'])
False
>>> set(['foo', 'bar', 'baz']) <= set(['foo', 'bar', 'bat', 'baz'])
True
Leeds: ^^
inhahethere are copy and deepcopy methods for copyingc objects
Leedsmasterdriverz: right, that's the result... what I'm saying is if you have, say, two sets with thousands of items, will it check all of them before returning False
inhahesomewhere
masterdriverzLeeds: i guess it depends on the exact situation
sets is almost certainly faster though...
KarqlDo someone know how to use setuid()? I've set chmod -rwsr-x--- 1 root karql 80 lut 18 17:41 setuid.py but I get error: OSError: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted
LeedsKarql: on Linux? scripts don't run with setuid on Linux
KarqlYes on Linux
So how i can set other uid for process?
Leedsyou need to run it with su or sudo or something
bzedyou do NOT, i repeat NOT want to give the py interpreter a setuid bit
Leedsno, don't do that
Karqlhmm it's possible to compile python script that it does not depend on interpreter?
bzedI've seen a suid-wrapper for py progs some time ago. just don't know where it was. but you'd still ahve to be careful with that
Karql(sory for my english:D
bzed: You think about that: http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-list/2003-September/223556.html
bzedyeah,
I'd just use sudo though
KarqlI want to use my django apps on user privileges so I though that I use su_exec but I don't know why I doesn't work. (In ror it's work) So I've wanted to use setuid in application.fcgi
#!/bin/bash
cd /var/www/django_apps/
/usr/sbin/suexec_lighttpd karql users indexer.fcgi
/\ it doesn't work
