rindolfoctagon: what is Fuse::DBI?
octagon: does it have anything to do with the filesystem-in-user-space thing?
octagonit's FUSE (filesystem in user space) frontend to a DBI database
ew73How does that map?
rindolfoctagon: oh, I see.
FUSE++
octagonmount ('mytable', '/mount/point');
ls /mount/point
ew73cat $table/$row/$index?
octagonthat is mapped to a select statement
or cat /dev/random >> /mount/point/foo
does a update
and like that
it all depends on how you set it up
ew73Somewhat handy!
octagonyou map SQL queries to the various inode operations
rindolfoctagon: I once debugged loggedFS and found a bug that made me unable to use it properly for ~/.kde/share/config . So I debugged it, libfuse, the kernel FUSE driver, and the kernel VFS layer. Eventually I found out it had a missing flag.
octagoni mean file operations
rindolfI love FOSS.
octagonrindolf: that sounds tedious
rindolfoctagon: oh, it was.
octagon: but I found out what the problem is.
octagonis it fixed now?
you submitted your patch and whatnot?
rindolfoctagon: yes, it is.
octagonwhew!
good for me then :)
rindolfoctagon: the author incoporated it into the latest version.
octagon: not of libfuse.
libfuse was fine.
But of loggedFS.
octagoni don't know what that is
rindolfoctagon: http://loggedfs.sourceforge.net/
ew73I think the function can be inferred from its name.
octagonah
Khisanthew73: that is not very reliable method, too many things with meaningless names
ew73I don't know kwhat you kmean.
rindolfKhisanth: why did you ban dazjorz?
octagon: aren't you in Georgia?
octagonnope
