| jmoncayo | jjore: ? |
| jjore | The URL is http://perlmonks.org/?node=super+search and you'll want to search for root nodes by theorbtwo with OCR in the title. |
| jmoncayo | jjore: thanks a lot |
| unfo | jmoncayo: which website are you trying to defeat the ocr challenge of? |

| unfo | jmoncayo: which website are you trying to defeat the ocr challenge of? |
| jql | I know google knows what it means |
| action | jql kicks buubot |
| jql | kicks buubot buubot: translate from french bachelire |
| buubot | bachelire |
| jjore | Huh. I guess I'd just ask him about if I had any questions I really couldn't figure out. |
| simcop2387 | jql: yea i ended up using it |
| jql | buubot should take html entities |
| unfo | jql: why? |
| jql | é |
| unfo | shouldn't it just translate words without regards to accents? |
| jql | the accents change meaning in most romance languages tu vs. tú :) |
| unfo | so maybe a better fix would be to give translations of both tu and tú when the user requests a translation of either one? jql: From my limited experience, google search is accent-neutral, which I like. |
| avar | google-- # accent-neutral |
| unfo | all: I am working on a wget-like utility for a school assignment. My utility uses LWP. Is it technically possible to have my utility dive into /usr/bin/lwp-rget (an example script shipped with LWP) and use a regular expression found in that file? Is it a bad idea for it to? |
| jql | yes, although I understand from the unicode purists that yahoo search is more correct in their eyes |
| unfo | (i.e. what will my prof think if I publically admit in a top-of-file comment what I do?) jql: more correct, maybe. But more useful? :) |
| Khisanth | that sounds like a bad idea |
| jql | I dunno, I never use the stupid thing |
| unfo | Khisanth: ok, i guess i have to rewrite the regexp from memory then :) why don't geeks use Yahoo or MSN Search that often? |
| f00li5h | unfo: is this a joke? |
