| RiXtEr | sorry |
| jjore | Did you really pay Jmax? Huh. |
| Kiladen | yes |
| cfedde | RiXtEr: I'm realy confused about what you want. Or maybe you are. |
| Jmax- | to be fair that was before i knew that he was spamming myspace |
| RiXtEr | cfedde: i am a hash idiot cfedde: i can handle arrays cfedde: hashs confuse the hell out of me |
| jjore | Spamming MySpace? Oh gawd. Please die then. |
| dkr | Jmax-: heh, that was my first thought |
| cfedde | RiXtEr: too bad. hashes are a veruy powerful concept once you understand them. |
| dkr | $ + myspace automation. ponders what field of endeavor this task lies. |
| Jmax- | dkr: did you see the link? |
| RiXtEr | cfedde: which is what i am trying to do now :) thanks |
| theblue | Is MySpace even worth pissing around with? |
| dkr | it's a good thing most spammers are dumb |
| Jmax- | yep |
| cfedde | theblue: it's one of those places I look for your name if you come in for an interview. |
| jjore | I have a MySpace account but I never go there because of all the spam I get. Of course... I'm only there because of the bands I'm keeping pace with n' stuff. |
| theblue | cfedde: Ah, now that'd make sense. |
| Randal | wow - I can't believe that works I created a mixin class that wedges itself between parent and me. |
| theblue | cfedde: On second thought, what exactly were you planning on doing with it? |
| Randal | nothing spectacular, but it has to do a lot of shucking and jiving to do it |
| cfedde | theblue: Just checking internet footprint. |
| theblue | cfedde: Please, go ahead. |
| cfedde | I'll make you take a drug test too. you know. all those basic HR things. |
| jjore | Ew. The idea of HR going to MySpace is icky. That's not a space for professional personas. |
| cfedde | hey. they're your foot prints. I'm just looking for them. |
| Caelum | making people submit to drug tests is rather humiliating too |
| jjore | Not that I've *anything* on my MySpace but I pretty much do object to HR going there. HR doesn't belong there. You know, "oh, please go read my journal or watch me joke with my friends." |
| cfedde | I find that kinda funny. you think that you're blog is some how private? |
| Caelum | not a bad idea to keep things you'd want the HR of a potential employer to not see off the internet |
| jjore | I *do* have a private blog which isn't visible without being on my "friends" list and that shouldn't even be visible to HR people BUT... such places are a social context and that's important. |
| dkr | yeah, kind of like going out drinking with your buddies is done in public, but I'd object to HR surveilling you there ;) |
| jjore | It's not just an undifferentiated mass of "everything accessible is published." |
