ph1zzle|laptophey all
I am using ubunto edgy and, well I am not a perl person, but I need to install a series of modules to get another peice of software running, when I try to install them with cpan I get test failures because there was no output from test, when I install them manually I get a list of files being installed and a simple ls shows they are not there, does anyone know what might be causing these problems
f00li5hph1zzle|laptop: cpan list::of perl::modules
SubStackor install them with your package manager if present
f00li5hif you're running a live cd though, i'd imainge the modules would disappear after reboot (if not sooner)
ph1zzle|laptopno it's not a live cd
so I type list::of perl::modules?
f00li5hsure, so when you say "ls show's they're not there" where are you ls'ing?
ph1zzle|laptopthat seems off but I will give it a shot
f00li5hph1zzle|laptop: it is off.
cpan list::of Module::Names
ph1zzle|laptoproot@apollo:~/.cpan/build/Apache-Session-1.81# make
Manifying blib/man3/Apache::Session::Store::File.3pm
f00li5hyou list the modules you want cpan to install as it's arguments
ph1zzle|laptopoops
that was a bad output
certain modules when I do a make it will sat something like install in /usr/local/share/perl/etc/etc
and then I do a ls of the .pm or whatever file in that list and it comes back with no such file
f00li5his there a particular reason you're not installing them with cpan or cpanplus?
snoop0x7bf00li5h: because he's masochistic
f00li5hsnoop0x7b: figures
ph1zzle|laptopI am cpan is saying tests are failing
