#perl - Wed 28 Mar 2007 between 20:43 and 20:46

Randalperl hits 20 years next year
Jmax-yay :)
Randalor is it this year
ahh 87 - 07
this year
Caelumwow
kd_lisp hits retirement age in decade or so
Randalmrpengu1n - dissing perl developers here will get you no points
mrpengu1nlol
jagermanDissing PHP developers will, though.
Randalyeah - Rasmus - what kind of a name is that?
mrpengu1nim just saying sun is a way better reference
its valid criticism
jagermanmrpengu1n: Are you serious?
Randal(a) we know (b) too bad
so don't bother
jagermanI *hate* having to use java's documentation.
Randalperl *is* what it is
mrpengu1nseriously though, i want to view all functions and what they do
hobbsjagerman: javadoc is ugly and sucky but it has a few points in its favor. I like the auto hyperlinking.
mrpengu1nthis perldoc perlfunc just shows me their names
Randalcomplaining about Perl within 30 minutes of joining #perl is idiotic behavior
hobbsmrpengu1n: no it doesn't
Randaland trollish
hobbsmrpengu1n: learn to read, and then come back.
kd_perldoc also has auto-hyperlinking
HarzileinRandal: so another yeah and it'll be able to buy booze in the us ;)
s/yeah/year/
mrpengu1nso wait, i have to page down to get to the function?
Caelumjavadoc has auto linking based on inheritance and exceptions, which is a nice feature
Randal"hell yeah!"
kd_pod is reasonable given it predates (x|ht)ml
Randalperl6 will have more machine-readable meta-info
the docs will be better
Caelumyay!
kd_is kwid still the plan?
mrpengu1nthis api isnt even organized by category
jagermankd_: Yuck, XML is not easily human readable.
Caelumalthough, I still much prefer to read perldocs than swim through a morass of javadoc links with no overall coherence
iwksehi all, anybody using mod_ext_filter? isn't possible to define more that one ExtFilterDefine?
