rindolfRandal: is Larry rich, BTW?
Does he has O'Reilly shares?
Randalhe's spirtually rich. :)
phroggyhe should be.
Gigsawthen you probably aren't a very good businessperson
Randalnobody has ORA shares
it's all Tim's and a couple of others from the beginning
rindolfRandal: oh.
GigsawTim has shares in ORA?
rindolfRandal: interesting.
RandalUh - it's a corp
rindolfGigsaw: Tim O'Reilly.
Randalhe owns the majority of the corp
I have shares in $tonehenge. :)
Gigsawah
thought you meant bunce
rindolfI really like Tim.
Although he can sometimes bullshit a lot in his blog."
Go on and on about stuff.
phroggyMicrosoft has improved because they've had to. IE7 is an improvement over IE6 (while at the same time also being a disaster, but that's just a UI thing) not because Microsoft wanted to improve it, but because they realized if they didn't, nobody would use it anymore.
rindolfphroggy: yes.
phroggy: I don't hate MS.
preactionphroggy: IE7 is not a disaster just because of the UI thing. they have not improved CSS support in the slightest. they are still years behind FF, Opera, and Webkit
rindolfphroggy: I think many of their products are crap, but that's all.
preaction: IE7-- IE6-- IE6--
phroggypreaction: they HAVE improved CSS support, they just haven't improved it as much as would be nice.
rindolfpreaction: perlbot karma IE7
perlbot karma IE7
perlbotIE7 doesn't have any karma
preactionphroggy: 6%, according to webdevout.net
rindolfIE7--
perlbot karma IE7
perlbotKarma for IE7: -1
preactionIE7 is holding at 56% of css2 support, while FF and Opera are in high 90s
phroggypreaction: they've fixed the bugs that I had to work around for IE6; I don't see how you can put a percentage on it.
preactionno, they fixed the workaround. the workarounds don't work anymore
rindolfphroggy: some of my sites still have some problems.
phroggyno they didn't.
rindolfphroggy: there's no display: table*
phroggyrindolf: yeah, there are still problems, I won't dispute that. Like I said, it's not as good as what would be nice. But it's BETTER than IE6.
