cfeddezamolxes: I'd consider those bugs. Or is it Perl that you are dissing there.
zamolxesxp_prg: just use the skeleton script ..
Paladinrindolf: nice bug discovery..
rindolfPaladin: I discovered it by accident.
zamolxescfedde: no, stupid naming is not a bug, thats it
xp_prgunfortunately I am not familiar with skeleton script, where is that?
Paladinrindolf: ya.. bugs caused by syntax errors are usually harder to find as fewer people would have code that causes it..
rindolfPaladin: what's up?
Paladinrindolf: have a day off.. just waiting for the g/f to get ready so we can go out..
rindolf: you?
rindolfPaladin: I've prepared Mandriva RPMs for XML::Feed and its dependencies.
Paladin: and today was my monthly backup day.
Paladinrindolf: cool.. you use cpan2rpm for that?
rindolfPaladin: surprisingly everything fit on one CD.
Paladin: no, I tweaked the RPM specs by hand.
Paladinrindolf: ahh.. I've used cpan2rpm for our systems at work, and my home system.. it usually works really well.. doesn't require much tweaking in most cases..
rindolf221/231
Paladin: OK.

zamolxesxp_prg: wiz.ro/skeleton
rindolfPaladin: I used the RPM .spec's of previous RPMs. I'm still not confident in starting writing an RPM .spec from scratch.
I think hardly anyone does that.
Hi somian
zamolxesxp_prg: from http://packages.debian.org/stable/admin/initscripts
Paladinrindolf: ya.. I have a template .spec file that I use when creating new RPMs..
rindolfIt's like writing Win32 programs in C/C++. You can't .
Paladinheh.. ya
simcop2387GumbyBRAIN: i shot the sheriff!
GumbyBRAINthe day after i cannot get perl to to send me the code.
rindolfPaladin: well, I'm usually starting from one of the existing RPMs in the Mandriva (or whatever) repository.
Paladin: I have Sunday off.
somiansalutations all
Paladinrindolf: ahh.. ya that helps..
rindolfPaladin: after a pretty hectic week.
Paladinrindolf: only 1 day off a week?
rindolfPaladin: for Purim.
Paladin: but we're getting all of Passover off.
LeoNerdDoes anyone know why "getnameinfo" and "getaddrinfo" are named that way around..? I think they're named backwards... they would make more sense being swapped
Paladinrindolf: ahh.. right, that's coming up..
rindolfIncluding days where you are allowed to be employed.
