#perl - Thu 15 Mar 2007 between 04:24 and 04:51

Woostayeah, was trying to keep it as simple as possible
crungeappelza: but a broken one
kd_appelza: not a complete regex
appelzacrunge: yeah, i wanna know how to do it properly :P
crungeappelza: how to write a proper apache config?
Randalappelza - read "perldoc perlretut" then
crungeappelza: try #apache
Randalwhen you have a question after that, come back
appelzacrunge: no how to match an apache config.
Not write one
I'm looking for a certain one with regex
but nevermind
:D
kd_appelza: Config::General?
shift8appelza: ok, you seem (maybe) to get character classes, but how about modifiers, you know, for like match count: hint {1,3}
Randalappelza - perldoc perlretut
WoostaRandal: there's a bot in #twitter now .. and I thought you were zzzzzzzz :-D
Randalgreat tutorial

shift8appelza: "mastering regular expressions" is a good book to have too
Randalpaying for IRC by the character must really suck to be you
shift8hah
appelzashift8: I actually have that book on my desk :) I was just looking for a quick answer
shift8i pay by the CLUE
Randalyou were lookign for us to be your brain
that's rude
shift8true, but common :)
Randal& zzzz (to match the twitter tag)
crungeI saw a great chat log in an MMORPG context: "Help me plz" "What is plz?" "please" "Why do you say 'plz' instead of 'please'?" "It's shorter." "Ah, well, I'm going to say 'no' because it's shorter."
shift8oldie be a goody: http://www.netropolis.org/hash/perl/virtue.html
Supaplexcrunge: I'm so going to use that. often. :-D
shift8randal - hypotheticly, you have to use threads. shared vars aren't getting gc' properly it seems, but you need reliable message passing and locking - fifo? how would you do it?
rewrite it in c with posix threads would be an answer i'd except i guess.... :)
HUBRIS: is my favorite - it's the driving force of OSS
and the reason every psatebin post as lame ass disclamers :)
ok - for the record, Randal, i will never bug you about perl threads again. they suck, i get it :)
