ew73I'm sorry, I just had this mental image of merly with a teardrop tattoo under his eye.
f00li5hew73: now now emo wizzard, don't cry
ew73I giggled.
actionPatterner pictures him with pearl and camel tattoos...

extintorYou're all very strange...
Teratogenthey put merlyn with the crack dealers!
because he was password cracking, you see
they didn't know what password cracking was, really
cfeddeextintor: you're just findign that out?
PatternerDoes that mean we're allowed to buy *nt*l again?
Teratogenall of my boxes are clunky old Intel Pentium IIIs!
ew73Patterner: No, because intel still sucks.
Teratogenexcept for an UltraSparc and a couple of alphas
extintorcfedde: I'm quite good at forgetting =)
Patternerew73: i heard the core2 thingies are quite good
actionTeratogen will always call merlyn merlyn
Teratogenwill always call merlyn merlyn
ew73Patterner: Oh, then I guess you can buy it if you want.
hobbsPatterner: relatively speaking, yeah
pifhi, is @type[1,-1] the correct way to slice an array from second to last element?
rindolfpif: no.
pif: you need @typs[1 .. $#type]
pifhow come -1 seems to work?
f00li5hpif: because you only have 4 items in the list
rindolfpif: it will work only if you have three elements.
pifah
perlygatekeeperrandal_schwartz: not going by myrlyn anymore?
PatternerDo I hear "two elements"..?
uberspacedhow do i unpack a column that is right aligned and padded with spaces in a fixed with field?
randal_schwartzwow. lots of questions about a simple nick change.
uberspacedi've read through the perlpacktut thing, and for some reason, data in columns that are right alighned still have spaces before them.
hobbspif: you have to use @type[1..$#type] unfortunately
uberspaced: of course it does. Remove the spaces if you want to :)
pifthanks
annoah, but that's an age-old nick, randal
randal_schwartzwell - it's still my p3m name
uberspacedhobbs, thanks.
randal_schwartzI just realized i can't rag on a lame nick when I have the nick I've had since I was 15. :)
so I'm preemptively setting an example
hobbsuberspaced: pack just schleps the data, it doesn't do anything to it
randal_schwartzwell - it packs it. :)
