<kkathman> romanos: see what I just said to you

<ReAn[SuSE]> kkathman: xgl as well?
<romanos> lol
<kkathman> good grief pay attention
<kkathman> ReAn[SuSE]: yes
<ReAn[SuSE]> bah, sec
<ReAn[SuSE]> lemmie disable xgl
<meta-morph-OS> kkathman: podemos trabajar en mi sistema por favor : )
<ReAn[SuSE]> kkathman: remember im on suse 10.1
<meta-morph-OS> what happened with KDE here?
<kkathman> meta-morph-OS: english only please
<romanos> is there maybe any conflict with compiz? i'm pressing ctrl alt del , nothing happens
<ReAn[SuSE]> and i AM using the correct suse 10.1 repository
<kkathman> ReAn[SuSE]: OHHH I didnt know you were on 10.1!!
<ReAn[SuSE]> beryl not work on 10.1?
<meta-morph-OS> I checked yast and KDE should be installed along with GNOME so I should get the option to choose right?
<kkathman> ReAn[SuSE]: honestly I dont know what the state of beryl/compiz is on 10.1
<ReAn[SuSE]> compiz works fine
<meta-morph-OS> when I ctl+alt+backspaced, there weren't any choices, just reverted to gnome
<meta-morph-OS> kinda strange?!?
<ReAn[SuSE]> kkathman: can i upgrade to 10.2 online? and roughly how many MB you think it'd take?
<kkathman> meta-morph-OS: yes you should be able to choose
<chil> anyone with a solution for me ?
<romanos> what can i do when suse crash????
<kkathman> ReAn[SuSE]: no...you need to get the disks and upgrade
<ReAn[SuSE]> bah
<ReAn[SuSE]> the last thing i wanna do is download another fucking DVD
<kkathman> romanos: depends on what you mean by crash
<romanos> nothing's moving...
<meta-morph-OS> chil: you've been looking to solve that problem for a few days now huh?
<romanos> should i maybe update my kernel?
<meta-morph-OS> hang in there..
<kkathman> chil whats the issue?
<chil> jus installed suse 10.2 but when i try to change screen resolution i get 'The configuration is Framebuffer based and your system does not support changes for resolution or color settings'
<chil> shows the card as being VESA Framebuffer, but i have an ATI X1300 inside
<kkathman> romanos: probably not - what kernel do you have?
<meta-morph-OS> oh...that's not good
<kkathman> chil: ATI right?
<ReAn[SuSE]> chil: install new drivers
<romanos> kkathman, the default that came with opensuse 10.2
<meta-morph-OS> chil: I hear that linux and ATI don't get along so well
<kkathman> yes install the ATI drivers...right now you are in default VESA emulator
<romanos> kkathman, computer stoped respond, i had to shut it off the hard way :(
<meta-morph-OS> romanos: same deal here
<meta-morph-OS> pretty much
