#suse

<microchip_> :p
<kkathman> nothing under themes??
<ReAn[SuSE]> correct
<kkathman> ReAn[SuSE]: something didnt install correctly
<ReAn[SuSE]> like?
<kkathman> cuz you should have like 20 or 25 themes there
<ReAn[SuSE]> fucking yast
<kkathman> lol
<ReAn[SuSE]> i REALLY like this manager, switch my managers on the fly
<misha> rightclick on desktop ->configure
<kkathman> ReAn[SuSE]: I'd go back and remove all the beryl, compiz and emerald stuff... reboot, and try installing again...maybe you got caught in a limbo state while your mirror was upgrading or something
<meta-morph-OS> rean: 86 that
<ReAn[SuSE]> i think i found it
<sambiase> then?
<meta-morph-OS> I heard SMART is the best one
<ReAn[SuSE]> yea meta-morph-OS i have smart on here
<ReAn[SuSE]> don't like the interface tho
<meta-morph-OS> damn...so you're using yast?
<ReAn[SuSE]> yea :/
<ReAn[SuSE]> but i have smart
<ReAn[SuSE]> and smart-gui
<kkathman> sambiase: two things can cause the monitor to shut off - 1) screen saver 2) the power settings
<kkathman> sambiase: check the screen saver 1st, and be sure its not set to 5 minutes
<sambiase> my screen saver says...start automatically after 4 mins
<ReAn[SuSE]> ok kkathman
<ReAn[SuSE]> i have themes now
<ReAn[SuSE]> but still no titlebars
<ReAn[SuSE]> :(
<sambiase> abd display...power control...is not enabled
<kkathman> sambiase: then go to YasT - System - Power Management and be sure your monitor settings for power are set appropriately
<kkathman> ReAn[SuSE]: well thats an improvement :)
<ReAn[SuSE]> how do i actually "set" a theme in the emerald thing
<ReAn[SuSE]> i just double clicked and nothing happened
<kkathman> ReAn[SuSE]: could be that little glitch that happens with ATI also...I forget what it is
<ReAn[SuSE]> <--- nVidia
<kkathman> ReAn[SuSE]: you just click on it
<kkathman> in the emerald manager
<ReAn[SuSE]> yea, that's what i did
<ReAn[SuSE]> still no titlebars
<kkathman> but did the theme colors change?
<ReAn[SuSE]> nothing happened
<ReAn[SuSE]> do you want a screenshot?
<meta-morph-OS> rean: which browser do you use?
<meta-morph-OS> swiftfox? opera?
<ReAn[SuSE]> opera
<chil> afternoon all, jus installed suse 10.2 but when i try to change screen resolution i get 'The configuration is Framebuffer based and your system does not support changes for resolution or color settings'
<kkathman> ReAn[SuSE]: I think you really need to uninstall and reinstall the beryl stuff I dont think you got a clean install
<chil> shows the card as being VESA Framebuffer, but i have an ATI X1300 inside
<romanos> hi all.. is there a command in suse like ctrl alt del?
<ReAn[SuSE]> should i also uninstall compiz?
