#ruby-lang
<ruskie> then this should really make your day: http://scmweb.sourcemage.org/?p=smgl/misc/quill.git;a=tree :)
<ruskie> that's one of the more complex ones
<ruskie> it started as a single file script
<slyphon> ruskie: which file?
<slyphon> install?
<ruskie> it's now spread into multtiple ones
<ruskie> no
<slyphon> oh
<ruskie> try usr/bin/quill and var/lib/quill/modules
<slyphon> yeah, there's a guy at work that writes this kind of stuff
<slyphon> crazy
<ruskie> but that'- only the tip of the iceberg
<slyphon> thanks, i think i'll just stay on shore
<ruskie> if you check the projects page you'll see a source based package manager written in bash
<slyphon> ruskie: you wrote pkgsrc ?!
<ruskie> no :)
<slyphon> j/k
<slyphon> ;)
<ruskie> quill is the main thing I did
<ruskie> a spell writting script
<ruskie> just added a mode to it to read project pages from raa.ruby-lang.org to easily generate them from there :)
<rue> Huh, SourceForge is all Web 2.3b_rc1
<slyphon> spell writing script?
<oGMo> heh
<ruskie> spells are what we(sourcemage) call our pakcages(like ebuilds etc...)
<teferi> nerrrrrrds
<slyphon> srsly
<Enselic> In emacs, if I do M-x compile ruby grewd.rb, errors are clickable, so that I get to the errors. However, when I run M-x rubydb ruby -r debug file.rb, and the debugger runs, errors are not clickable. Does anyone here have ruby debugging setup nicely in emacs?
<ruskie> yup
<slyphon> ruskie: oh man
<slyphon> i thought this was some MUD written in bash
<oGMo> heh
<ruskie> lol
<flori> eval "echo \$$#"
<rue> slyphon: What the fuck. Write complete words
<teferi> Huh?
<slyphon> flori: that's what i thought it was
<blink> slyphon: that's the worst idea EVAR.
<flori> slyphon: i think there must be a better way ;)
<blink> slyphon: next to Adobe Photoshop in FORTRAN
<slyphon> AAAAAHAHAH
<oGMo> a bash mud would be so easy
<oGMo> or at least a bash text adventure
<slyphon> my buddy wants to write a bash-script to NASM compiler and decompiler in sed and awk
<slyphon> just to say he did it
<oGMo> a sortof-mud would be fairly easy, too
<slyphon> oGMo: nc ftw!
<oGMo> nah no nc, just multiuser on the local box
<oGMo> you'd need a shell account anyway
<ruskie> bash can do tcp without the need for nc :)
