<desi007> as soon as I log in kde says laptop lid is closed suspending on relogin it works fine :(
<Renze> g-henna: no problem
<desi007> any help
<Renze> desi007: buy me a laptop and I'll find out ;)
<desi007> give me the money and I will find a good deal for u Renze
<desi007> lol
<TabooTreez> Renze, ever use arch?
<Renze> TabooTreez: nope
<TabooTreez> Renze, you should give it a try =D
<TabooTreez> Renze, if you like gentoo
<Renze> TabooTreez: I'm more than happy with gentoo, thanks :P
<TabooTreez> Renze, check this
<TabooTreez> Renze, http://www.kdemod.ath.cx/
<desi007> if I delete .kde directory in home folder will I be able to relogin?
<Renze> TabooTreez: I prefer vanilla KDE
<Renze> desi007: deleting .kde is kinda dumb... you lose more than just your settings
<TabooTreez> Renze, kdemod isnt all eye candy. Speed also.
<Renze> TabooTreez: I still prefer vanilla KDE
<desi007> I had this issue with lid suspend before and I resolved it by deleting something in .kde I am forgetting what :(
<TabooTreez> Renze, atleast it kde =)
<TabooTreez> its*
<Renze> TabooTreez: I do tech support here to contribute to the project. Having vanilla KDE is kinda important for that.
<TabooTreez> Renze, very understandable. We thank you for it.
<pierreth> KDE is really cool
<Aji-Dahaka> so...is it possible to get ktorrent to use non-local kio for the torrent download location
<Aji-Dahaka> hmm...super-frustrating
<Aji-Dahaka> I don't really want to resort to fuse-sshfs
<Vague_Rant> Hey, KDEfolks.
<Vague_Rant> How do I disable the functionality that occurs when I hover over anything in the taskbar?
<Vague_Rant> As in, the fade-in with the larger icon and details about which desktop it's running on and such.
<Vague_Rant> Never mind, found it.
<alien64> i need to take a screenshot of kdm how can i do this?
<Renze> alien64: maybe by using the xdump command from a virtual console?
<alien64> i have kde 3.5 and running gentoo based system
<Renze> hmmm... not xdump... can't remember the name of the thing now
<Renze> ah, xwd
<mark_alec> alien64: more importantly, why do you need to show your kdm?
<alien64> whats a virtual konsole exactly?
<Renze> alien64: what you go to when you press ctrl-alt-f1
<mark_alec> ctrl+alt+f[n]
<Renze> ctrl-alt-f7 will bring you back to X
<Renze> (in most distros)
<alien64> yeah ive tried this and says cant connect to display 0
<Renze> DISPLAY=":0" xwd blah
<alien64> import gives the same error
<alien64> import -display :0 -window root shot.png << gets refused
<shastry> alien64: you run it as ?
<alien64> root or user doesnt matter
<shastry> a different user than the logged in ?
