<jwickers> me22: i guess you can set udev to setup the devicefor you too, if fstab is not present ot works by creating the mount rep automatically
<jwickers> Gruelius: you will need to check you have hal/dbus (chec USE flags) and support for those compiled in whatever gnome lib.

<stick-guy> I'm having some permission problems with mounting a cifs (samba) share - I specify uid=1000,gid=1000 when I mount it, but it mounts with uid 10001 and gid 10000
