<hark> bwilson: /msg dpkg confmiss
<chronographer> *sigh thx anyways................
<cwheeler> chronographer you booting from a dvd drive?
<Gokee2> 560 upgraded plus 16 new on my laptop and 343 upgraded plus 10 new on my desktop a total of 700 MB`s downloaded
<Gokee2> I need to set up a local apt repository... That will be a project for another day
<bwilson> hark: and then what?
<hark> rpc: ls *.ext |sed 's/\.[^.]*$//'
<hark> !confmiss
<dpkg> the reason you have to use dpkg --force-confmiss is because whenever your config files are gone, dpkg assumes you deleted them on purpose, and that you want them to stay deleted. You can also reinstall them using the following apt-get line: apt-get -o DPkg::Options::="--force-confmiss" --reinstall install <packagename>
<hark> reinstall it with the confmiss option
<xixor> sep: yep, its a webserver, I am installing phpmyadmin
<bwilson> hark: is there a way to do that with apt?
<ma3x> hi. I have a cd/dvd combo burner. and suddenly it stopped burning dvds, it just burns CD now. is it not the same laser that burns the both?
<hark> bwilson: yes, read the factoid. last line
<antum1> How do I check something like postfix has access to mysql? I keep getting errors in my logs saying it can't connect through localhost
<bwilson> hark: hmm apt-get --reinstall install apache2 is that it?
<chronographer> im NOT booting from the cd drive
<hark> !tell bwilson -about confmiss
<xixor> sep: in phpmyadmin, is there away I can list all the users? If I can see the usernames I may be able to guess my wordpress users password
<sep> xixor, the permissions link on the frontpage
<sep> or just look in the mysql database
<xixor> sep: I used the same process to recover the admin password to change the users password
<xixor> sep: do you mean privileges?
<sep> yes
