<OuttaLuck> LOL
<turnpike420> lol
<OuttaLuck> i dunno, I'll try it one by one,
<OuttaLuck> I have Centos on the server now,
<OuttaLuck> i may just keep it,
<OuttaLuck> but I'm tired of suse,
<OuttaLuck> it's getting me upset at it,
<turnpike420> I love it... easy for me... oh dear $diety suse... yuck... YaST is the worst tool ever
<OuttaLuck> hehehe, yeah, tell me about it,
<OuttaLuck> it's nice if you have 3,000G's of ram,
<OuttaLuck> oh, and a 13 GHz cpu,
<OuttaLuck> "cyber-bullying"?? really? I think the news media has gone too far
<turnpike420> hey, peanut butter beat Iraq war for top news spot... :p
<OuttaLuck> hehehe
<OuttaLuck> i just wanna knwo how you get a meat-borne illness into peanut butter
<turnpike420> the soil can be contaminated
<turnpike420> goodnight folks
<peerce> wasn't it salmonella? that can occur on anything.
<peerce> remember too, commercial 'peanut butter' is actually about 40% margarine (hygrogenated vegetable fats), and only 60% peanuts
<OuttaLuck> true
<OuttaLuck> didn't think of that,
<OuttaLuck> hehehe
<pramz> quick question, I have 2 ldap users (both can login), both are created with the same script and the info in the directory looks ok. user1 can access the home directory, user2 gets permission denied. Both users have rwx access to their own home directories. Any suggestions for troubleshooting ?
<linolium> I just burned CentOS-4.4-i386-bin1of4.iso, booted it up, and selected "local cdrom" as the selection method... and it says "The CentOS-4 i386 CD was not found in any of your CDROM drives." any idea what is up here? the cdrom is still in the drive..
<peerce> maybe not a supported controller ?
<linolium> hmm.. I'm starting to see a common theme here..
<peerce> boot the CD, at the boot prompt, do linux single, then at the prompt, dmesg
<linolium> linux single didn't work, so I tried i586 single, which just brought up the installation program again
<peerce> linux single didn't work?!? um.
<peerce> huh.
<peerce> sounds like flakey hardware then
<linolium> I think because linux is for i686
<peerce> what do you have?!?
<linolium> this is an older i586 athlon and at the bootup screen it says that if you are using i586 to type "i586" or "i586 text"
<peerce> hmmm.
<slowgo> how do i chose the right xfs kernel to install? other than i know i need one of the i686 versions after that i get bogged down in the choices
<BigMonkey> Printer problem - setting up a Brother 2040, CUPS test prints, Postscript test prints, other postscript files print only (many) blanks. Any ideas?
