vigneshchadmaynard: anything else ?
AndyGorewhat c file is it in domas ?
chadmaynardvignesh: yes
hold on a sec.
vigneshok..
Xgcvignesh: You might want to avoid using scanf. It'll just cause headaches for you.
domasAndyGore: probably storage/myisam/ha_myisam.cc ha_myisam::repair()
vigneshXgc: getchar ?
seekwillAndyGore: http://hashmysql.org/index.php?title=ALTER_TABLE_-_Setting_MAX_ROWS
AndyGorethanks guys
Xgcvignesh: or just fgets/sscanf, if this is line oriented.
vigneshok...
sscanf allows spaces too ?
firewirevignesh what are you trying to do? Why are you writing this in C if you don't know C?
Xgcvignesh: Make sure you use explicit field width for those conversions to avoid buffer overruns. You might want to try ##c to learn about C basics.
vigneshfirewire: I have too
firewirethat's not an acceptable answer
is it a school assignment?
vigneshno its not
seekwillOf course not.
firewirewhat is it for?
vigneshI am not in school
seekwillMaybe you should be?
vigneshIts a small project
chadmaynardheaven forbid anyone learn a language
vigneshThis all they teach C at my place.. just till stucts
firewireyou should start with a tutorial on how C handles strings
Xgcvignesh: Depends how you need to handle spaces. %s behaves about the same with scanf and sscanf.
vigneshif u have a problem come and join as a teacher here and come and teach
firewireI teach for a living
vigneshXgc: then why this error db.c:51: warning: passing argument 2 of sscanf from incompatible pointer type
good for u
Xgcvignesh: Those functions have different signatures / prototypes.
vigneshchadmaynard: did u find the problem ?
with the sql query
chadmaynardim doing some calculus
vigneshFine..
Xgcvignesh: ##c is a better place to ask about this level of C detail.
chadmaynardi will help you but i have to do my homework first.
plus im ill.
