Shaba1I forgot the y
chrisiajarUngy: yep, it's just grabbing all of the values from access...
Ungyahh I see
Hilauscan I add a constant field in a table that do DATEDIFF between two dates fields of the table? or can i only do select with DATEDIFF?
snoyesShaba1: You'll find lots of hits on Google for "volunteer mysql php"
Shaba1hahha
O do not google
I yahoo
:)
snoyesHilaus: fields definitions can't contain functions. You can set a field with a trigger on BEFORE INSERT/UPDATE, or you can create a view.
Shaba1: whatever floats your boat.
Ungychrisiajar: ANd yoru limiting factor is what your trying to find acess that does not match
chrisiajar: it looks like you have an ON statement and a WHERE statement backwards
chrisiajarUngy: which on, i'll try switching them...
UngyShaba1: woudl you do us a favor and not type 1 word lines it fills up the screen quickly
Shane-Swhat does "%" mean in the HOST field of mysql.user (bd.table)?
Ungychrisiajar: I dunno I am tryign to determine your link between page and access that doesn't exist
Shane-S: any host
Shaba1Ungy: I guess you could limit that to like 192.168.1.%
correct?
Shane-Shmm...odd I am using DBDesigner and it is saying it can not connect....yet my user has an entry like that as well as a localhost entry. I can login via SSH using the MYSQL command line with the user
snoyesShaba1: correct
UngyShaba1: tias
Shane-Sis there a log I could check to see what MySQL is saying about the connection?
Ungychrisiajar: try this one SELECT access.* FROM access JOIN page_access ON access.access_id=page_access.access_id JOIN page ON page_access.page_id=page.page_id WHERE page.page_script='/group_management.php'
chrisiajarUngy: still fetches all the rows in access...
Ungychrisiajar: And the expected result is what?
whatspygood afternoon, what would be a good tool to monitor my mySQL database? I'm starting to feel the need for a thighter administration, i.e. table growth rate, number of queries compared to time of day, etc.
chrisiajarUngy: nothing.
Ungywhatspy Mysql admin>
Assidheya
okay what would be better in case of updating tickets .. createa new entry everytime its updated.. or keep appending the text?
Ungychrisiajar so there is no page.page_script withthe value of 'group_management.php'?
Assid will you be commenting on tickets?
chrisiajarUngy: yeah
Assideverytime there is an update.. either A> 1 column will keep being updated. or B> add a new record (and use the index number to display in right order)
ClackwellAssid: appending text sounds wrong in case of a db engine, unless you have respective requirements.
firewireAssid create a new record
don't append
Assidprolly go like "user X wrote the following at 00:15:23 03/08/07 ......."
