Mathieuis it possible to edit views definition by modifiying the information_schema.views table?
_RainMkr_mathieu: no, you need drop and recreate it.
_BrickTop_kimseong: I get this: CREATE TABLE `mos_banner` (\n `bid` int(11) NOT NU...
Mathieu_RainMkr_: thanks
_BrickTop_where mos_banner is a table in the db
kimseong_BrickTop_: what is the charset
_BrickTop_no charset indicated in the results
kimseong_BrickTop_: select version()
johnny05kimseong: ok, i have this now - SELECT messages.*, members.username FROM messages LEFT JOIN members ON messages.from_id=members.id WHERE to_id = '1' AND location = 'inbox' AND messages.created=(SELECT MAX(messages.created) FROM messages WHERE to_id = '1') GROUP BY members.username
but now i only get one record back
_BrickTop_opps sorry had to select full view (with text) to see the charset
and it is CHARSET=latin1
kimseong_BrickTop_: so the export should work fine
johnny05it makes sense that i only get one back
_BrickTop_komseong: yep that's what I thought but those special characters are completely messed up in the new host. I tried also do export using SQL compatibility mode 4.0 and it didn't help
kimseong_BrickTop_: export with phpmyadmin?
_BrickTop_: import with phpmyadmin too?
_BrickTop_yeah
not the same version of phpmyadmin but that shouldn't be an issue should it?
kimseongi am not familiar how phpmyadmin export and import, so can't help much here
_BrickTop_phpMyAdmin - 2.9.0.2 in the old host with 4.1 --->phpMyAdmin 2.6.2 in the new host with 4.0
kimseongmaybe it export into unicode format
jhiverhi all
johnny05any ideas for my problem kimseong?
_RainMkr_don't use phpmyadmin for export/import for backup purpose.
kimseongjohnny05: you have the exact answer in the url
jhivera question for SQL gurus =)
say i have to queries, one that gives me aggregated (customer, volume_for_yesterday)
and a second one that gives me (customer, volume_for_day_before_yesterday)
_BrickTop_well I have to google it more . Thx anyway kimseong . In case any idea might spike up in your head I'll be happy to hear it :)
jhiverhow do i combine them
Xgcjhiver: JOIN.
jhiverto get (customer, yesterday, day_before_yesterday)
JOIN?
Xgcjhiver: Sure. Join them on customer. You can join derived tables.
jhiveryes but no
because if volume = 0 then no row is returned
Xgcjhiver: Post the SQL for the two queries to the pastebin.
johnny05hmmm, i must have done something wrong
jhiverand a join would remove the entire thing alltogether
