Speedernot north america
eigenburak|Anubis: until you find a topic truly worthy of depth-wise disection
Speederamerica

Speedernot united states
__mikemSpeeder, in my oppinion, a parabolic mirror is ideal for this, but the problem is, you would have to be able to change the focus of the parabala readily for it to be practicle.
Speederthe first ones to visit the united states was the vikings
eigenburak...or the american indians
i hear they were here pretty early
Speeder__mikem in fact, it seens that they described also a special mount for the mirror, so it was easier to focus
eigenburak I meant, the ones that was not already here x.x
__mikemthe vikings were the first illegal aliens. :)
ihopeThey say that the Riemann hypothesis is... fun.
eigenburakSpeeder: they say the american indians migrated here too.
__mikemihope you mean that the zeros of the zeta function all lie on the critical line?
ihope__mikem: that, yes.
Speederthe vikings told taht they fled america after the "skraelings" managed to beat them...
scientsts wonder if "skraelings" are the natives...
|Anubiseigenburak: i'll meditate on those words
these..?
eigenburak|Anubis: take it all with a grain of salt. this i my experience. you might find value in what you're doing
__mikemwell, all they have to do is find just one zero thats not and that will be put to rest, and since theres an infinite number of zeros to the function, theres an infinite number of possible opportunities for one of those zeros not to be on the line, and there it is very likely that Riemann is wrong. :p
action__mikem wonders if anyone is planing on rebuting my very twisted logic

action__mikem does the same
__mikemdoes the same
actioneigenburak see they're busting the Riemann hypothesis and turns it off in disgust
eigenburaksee they're busting the Riemann hypothesis and turns it off in disgust
__mikemlol yes I am sure
eigenburaki can see it now too lol
analpearrofl
eigenburak"well after applying 100000000 lbs of force to this problem we still couldn't solve it so it's clearly busted"
analpearn e pseudomaths
__mikem2+2 = 5 for large values of 2
eigenburakhaha, that's a good one
my mom's a math teacher. stuff like that keeps her sane. i just emailed that one to her. she thanks you in advance, i'm sure
analpearurgh i hate that "joke"
__mikemYou know whats really fun to do? When you are bored in calculus class, take out a blank piece of paper, write out a simple proof of euler's formula and watch the eyes of the person sitting right next to you glaze over.
eigenburaksomeone had a shirt with exp(-i*pi) on the back and some other stuff and i caught it during a water break of racquetball. i lost the next set trying to figure out the joke on the damn shirt
or maybe it was i*pi, i can't really remember
