n8k99OptimusRex: or in yakuake
dogatemycomputersudo killall firefox-bin
n8k99no need to sudo
YorokobiOptimusRex: not if you ran it as a regular user. If you started FF as root, then yes, sudo
K-RyanHey guys, I'm back =)
NightBirddrkns, it's probably been removed, it's just that ndiswrapper is noting that it can use that driver
it doesn't mean it is...
dogatemycomputern
drknsso still no lights i will try another restart
optimusRexThanks for that. It worked. Cheers
there is something making firefox hang and crash and I am suspecting forecast fox. Is there anyone with this problem or anyone who has seen this?
drknsyes hello again and i need genuine help
i restarted and still no wireless card can be seen eventhough i installed the driver via ndiswrapper
and ndiswrapper sees driver instaled
optimusRexjust had firefox crash again. Is there any way of uninstalling extensions?
K-Ryandrkns I know it may not be much help, but someone said that there are a multitude of wireless things that you can try until you find one that works.
Certain programs and stuff, good luck with the situation. My friend is having the same problem on his laptop.
jrickI have installed VisualBoyAdvance, and am able to run VBA games with it through the terminal. I also heard about a frontend to it, called kvisualboyadvance. I installed the sources with Kompile (couldn't find a deb), but cannot find the command necessary to run it. Can anyone help?
YorokobiOptimusRex: yeah, in Konsole, ' cd .mozilla/firefox' then 'ls' to find the hash for your profile
drknscouple days ago before i mess up my system while compiling gimp it work perfectly
K-Ryanjrick i think whatever you ./make it is what you use.
YorokobiOptimusRex: inside that has is a folder for forecastfox that you can 'rm -rf' or you can nuke other extensions
K-RyanI think, I haven't compiled much so don't quote me.
jrickK-Ryan: um, that means nothing to me, I installed it with Kompile.
K-RyanOh, right
jrickit installed fine, I just need the path
drknsbye all
jrickshould I install it with the terminal?
K-RyanIt would compile wherever you downloaded it to unless you specified otherwise I believe.
Yorokobijrick: do you know the name of the binary you want to use?
optimusRexwill give it a try thanks
K-RyanHe's looking for a graphical version of VisualBoy if I'm not mistaken.
jrickno, I tried kvba and kvisualboyadvance, but neither worked
K-RyanHe got it and used Kompile to compile the source but is having trouble from that point.
Neither worked as in what? What was the problem?
jrickbut, they could be called that, just not in /usr/bin/
Yorokobijrick: you can use 'sudo updatedb' then locate <whatever>
jrick: check /usr/local/ as well
optimusRexcd.mozilla/firefox is giving command not found
