mokkanfor them to come out with new alsa stuff
unless you think its gonna take awhile
geniiEightyFiveOnline: It is conceivable that it is trying to connect to the neighbour's access point
flowingfirejake: Oops.. I meant winecfg

dsmith_is it normal to have to use shift+delete to clear out the .trash folder on a external usb drive?
Lobstermokkan? meaning you are in the process or you are gonna put it off?
EightyFiveOnlineonce it displays it says disconnected then i select my network. it wont even connect to the neighbors
mokkanlobster, meaning ill just not do anything, hah
do they generally update alsa stuff that often in the ubuntu repos?
Lobstereightyfiveonline: can you access the admin page on your router?
EightyFiveOnlineright now i can
Lobstermokkan: I don't know, I think it depends more on alsa. That unplug trick works, though right?
mokkanyeah
Lobstermokkan: if you boot up unplugged and then plug it in, does that fix it?
mokkanmhm, works just fine like that
Lobstereightyfiveonline: and from linux?
EightyFiveOnlinenot wirelessly
Lobstermokkan: well at least you have sound then. if you get bored the rc4 drivers fix it, if not they will come your way eventually.
mokkanlobster mmk.. how long do you think itll be before rc4 are official?
Lobstereightyfiveonline: what was the chipset on your pci card?
mokkan hold on
EightyFiveOnline1 second

Rictoo|SLPsorry, I'm too lazy to find out, EightyFiveOnline, what might be the problem?
Getting BCMWL5 working on kubuntu?

Lobstermokkan: plus whenever ubuntu decides to add it to the update.
mokkan:\
Rictoo|SLPAnyway, I ought to sleep now, but use ndiswrapper :)

EightyFiveOnlinewont connect to the router. says its installed and was working fine. then i uninstalled gnome now it wont
jakehow to run windows programs in wine?
Rictoo|SLPjake, 'wine'
Lobstereightyfiveonline you need to reinstall the ndiswrapper. I'm not familiar with them, but I'm guessing it had a startup script tied to gnome somehow?
