SolidSourceintelikey: ok....its useless knowledge so I won't remember
intelikeyFizzbane possable that you would need to insert a kernel module.
NightBirdso...Herd should be released sometime next month?
nu-stdin: qhy qt?
why*
intelikeySolidSource yes all man's knowledge is useless.
nu-kubuntu uses qt?
intelikeyit's all vanity and vexation of spirit.
NightBirdnu-, kubuntu uses kde, which is built on qt...
fizzbaneintelikey: does that mean i would have a new kernel and i would have to install my nvidia drivers and everything again?
mattp1984hey i have a question, just installed kubuntu 6.10 on my desktop, it has a 64 bit AMD processor
intelikeyFizzbane no
mattp1984and my USB devices arent working
any ideas?
fizzbaneintelikey: ok good thanks
hendaus__Lichte, yes i am using it,but kad show to me (firewalled) and sometimes off
nu-thanks
NightBirddo the usb ports work on other systems? also, what are you trying to put in?
er... do the usb ports work on other operating systems
mattp1984i am trying to use my mouse
SolidSourceintelikey: not all knowledge is useless....is knowing how to rebuild your kernel when it breaks useless?
mattp1984and yes they work on windows
NightBirdhm...
mattp1984i used lsusb, and it shows 3 devices
with and ID of 0000000
stdinnu-: because Kubuntu uses KDE, which uses Qt (like Gnome uses GTK)
NightBirdmattp1984: are those 3 busses? or 3 devices?
mattp19843 busses, each one says device 1
bus 1, device 1
intelikeyFizzbane when you installed the nvidia driver it inserted a module into the kernel. that's how hardware support is handled in linux. a module is a block of code that when inserted into the running kernel, adds support for something that wasn't already supported in the krenel... in short "a driver" (not all modules are drivers btw)
mattp1984bus 2, device 1
etc
NightBirdI believe that means it's not detecting any devices then...
well... maybe
intelikeySolidSource yes it is.
NightBirdI'm not sure
nonuda_guys, i want to run beryl, but i have problem with my nvidia driver, glxinfo | grep render show me this http://paste.ubuntu-nl.org/10444/ , how do i fix this?
intelikeySolidSource knowing that computers exist is useless...
SolidSourceintelikey: ok...enough...not doing the philosophy thing tonight...that was last night
mattp1984any idea's on the USB thing?
