floyd_n_milanhmmm

n8schichthello! is there a possibility to start kopete with a given status (like "away" or "busy")? or is there a plugin that might do that?
HostilePenguinwhen i click somthing like kcontrol mostused applications , all applications, actions are garbled all options are regular until i mouse over them then they become garbled. most things i highlight are messed up
RaleskHostilePenguin: what graphics card do you have?
HostilePenguini810 onboard
Raleskhmmmm...
wolsnin8schicht: I don't think you can set the status on startup, but you can manipulate it through DCOP
HostilePenguingnome is fine
n8schichtwolsni: do you know what parameter there is for kopete via dcop?
wolsnin8schicht: use kdcop to browse
HostilePenguini took out fb from xorg.conf no difference
n8schichtwolsni: oh, thanx for the hint, i will try that...
CooPsum how do i move the "main buttons" or change the width of objects in the panel
this is starting to get annoying
wolsniCooPs: most objects in kicker can't be resized (except by resizing kicker)
CooPswhat's kicker? is it the kde taskbar?
wolsniCooPs: you can move them by unlocking kicker and dragging the little grippies by each applet
CooPs: yep
CooPsokay, well thing is
the three main buttons (konquer and stuff) are stuck in the middle of the tray
n8schichtwolsni: thanx again for the hint with kdcop, i am pretty sure i can solve this with it...
wolsni'main buttons' = application titles?
or the application shortcuts?
CooPsthe button that brings up the application menu and webbrowser button
wolsniCooPs: okay, right click on an empty spot on your panel and make sure it's not locked
CooPsaight
wolsninow right click on one of the icons you want to move and choose 'move' from the context menu
note that you can hold the shift key while dragging to 'push' other panel applets around
CooPsaah

wolsniCooPs: looked at kde-look.org ?
