now
make the screen bigger >:D
Ken69267I think the logout should simulate a nuclear detonation on the desktop
Lankenso krita can open PDF. That's pretty nice.
the shading scrolling down thing looks a lot better on my machine than the fade in GNOME did.
because I'm working my ATI radeon 9000 so hard, a lot of effects look crappy.
n8what file do i need to symlink to get beryl to autostart with kde?
Ken69267but just imagine a nuclear detonation shattering all the icons
:p
troyhola - anyone tired of the dolphin related flaming yet? it's good it'll all be out of the system before 4.0 is released :)
shellsageSo, were the summer of code projects selected?
actiontroy thinks it's like the uproar when nintendo announced the name 'wii' - which quickly settled down once people realised it was a good product :)

flightI rather like Dolphin, looks pretty inovative!
troyflight: have you had a chance to try the KDE 4 snapshots or anything similar?
I'm thinking I'll write next week's article on how to obtain KDE 4 snapshots so people can try things for themselves...
flighttroy, no I'm afriad I haven't. I've just seen the screenshots
Jucatotroy: would that really be a smart move? considering the snapshots are still for developers only? It might just cause some more problems
imagineJucato: not if you keep your 3.5 installation..
troyJucato: well, yes and no - it'll produce a nice side effect - the next time people start whining about a feature (dolphin or similar) - we can come back with "Well, have you even tried it yet?" and have a foot to stand on...
Jucatoimagine: I'm not actually referring to the problems of having 2 KDE's, but more of people will be whining about this or that state of things, as what has happened already in the past
troyJucato: I'd basically be creating a list of distro-provided daily builds, a blurb about the kdesvn-build script, and the do-it-yourself wiki page :)
imaginepplare never happy anyways
Jucatotroy: considering Alpha Release is scheduled on May 1, wouldn't you think that it would make sense to wait until then?
troyJucato: good point
Jucato: I could always have my article mostly pre-written and just delay releasing it until then :)
Jucato:)
Simeon_Hhmm
I want a new theme but I'm too damn picky :/
imaginetroy: should talk to Wade Olson about that.. she/he was talking about an article on the dot for the Alpha release
troySimeon_H: the problem is that there are so many themes that are less than 100% as far as coverage goes - always things that don't look right...
Jucatothe problem is that most of the users trying to build KDE 4 from svn are expecting that it's in a (very) usable state for end-users already.
troyimagine: I guess so - he should be awake still - central time zone and all
Simeon_Hwtf
JucatoSimeon_H: new theme for KDE 4? there certainly will be
Simeon_Hnot for KDE4
for my current desktop
Jucatoah
Simeon_Hwe haven't even started plasma-fying KDE4 yet
PATIENCE YOU BASTARDS! GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME!
