lilltigersmileak: yhee im sure ;)
but still ktorrent only gives me 50k-150k/sec while azureuz max out my 10mbit line if the seeders is fast enought
ShirakawasunaI've noticed a slight difference, too...probably due to different configurations, though
Simeon_HI love azureas's swarm thingy
implement it into ktorrent
Shirakawasunathat swarm thing is pretty cool...shame azureus is all huge and java-ie
Renzeif only azureus wasn't written in java and didn't consume vast amounts of RAM and swap
lilltigeryhee
Shirakawasunayep
it still manages to work better most of the time, sadly >_<
RenzeI could never get azureus to work right, but ktorrent just worked
Simeon_Hyeah
lilltigermmm.. mostly i use linuxdc++ as ktorrent is slow and az consumes all resources
Simeon_Hsomeone go put that idea foward in #kde-devel
(swarm in ktorrent)
Renzektorrent is a third party app... tell the authors
smileakSimeon_H: you could always report a wish..
Shirakawasunahmm
Simeon_Hhrm
Shirakawasunais VmSize the memory footprint of an app in ksysguard?
smileakI think it uses bugs.kde.org doesn't it?
ShirakawasunaI think so
Simeon_HI'm gonna be the KDE "idea's guy"
smileakShirakawasuna: yes
RenzeShirakawasuna: including all shared libraries
Shirakawasunawell, without a torrent opened, azureus is smaller than ktorrent
ah, right
Renzeregardless of whatever else is using them
VinegaroonWhy do lspci, lsusb and lshw still not work after emerging pciutils usbutils and lshw?
ShirakawasunaRenze: is VmRss just its own footprint, or something else?
RenzeVinegaroon: ask in #sabayon
smileakVinegaroon: not a KDE question, ask in your distro channel
Vinegaroonoh sorry wrong channel
RenzeShirakawasuna: it is the footprint of the app and all libs it uses
Shirakawasunawell, I was asking about VmSize first, then VmRss...and they have different values
Simeon_Hok, I need 10,000 KDE flyers and a light aircraft + pilot
RenzeShirakawasuna: I think VmRss is the part that is resident in memory
Shirakawasunaah
RenzeShirakawasuna: long story short: those numbers are pretty damn close to useless for measuring memory usage
Shirakawasuna: do a free before running ktorrent, then a free after
