Renzenot our fault the powers-that-be are clueless :P
I was 20/21 in '89
er, 19/20
Alethesit's your fault if NZ is a democracy :)
skylerwow ... i feel young ... or depreciated ... either or :P
zanti don't know if this is the right area, but how do i give a user who is not root access to a command, such as "shutdown"
Renzezant: wrong channel... you might want to ask in your distro channel
zant: but here's a clue: sudo
zantdistro?
Alethesisn't that something that can be configured with the login manager setup?
Renzewhat distribution of linux do you use?
zantsuse 10.2
Renzezant: then ask in #suse
skyleror set them up in a different group that has that priviledge :)
wb thundercloud :)
zantokay thanks
alanciohello people
Alarmhello just added a top panel where i want to add some shortcuts in it. but somehow i when i use the transparency for the top panel , it also makes transparent my main (bottom) panel, is there any way to change this , i mean the 2 panels to be able to have individual settings ?
Aletheszant: if you use kde, go to Control Center/System Administration/Login Manager/Shutdown
RenzeAlarm: transparency is a global setting, not a per panel setting
alanciodoes anybody knows where to configure the ALT-TAB behaviour?
skylerbye guys ... i know where to come if i have a kde error :P laters
Renzealancio: kcontrol -> desktop -> window behaviour
Alarmhow do then some people i see (on screenshots) got a normal coloured bar, and icons of shortcuts in another transparent bar ?
Renzealancio: focus tab, under navigation
Alarmis that maybe an other application that does that ?
RenzeAlarm: probably because the top bar is a "menu" bar, which is a special case
chavoAlarm, kxdocker or kooldock maybe
alancioRenze: the checkbox is disabled!
Renzealancio: which one?
alancio"Show window list while traversing windows"
Renzealancio: are you using kwin or beryl?
Alarmchakie, i will check them both, thank you. renze no i dont mean a gnome-panel , thanks anyway
explodyvi /etc/mail/dspam/dspam.conf
alanciothats exactly my problem
RenzeAlarm: um, this is #kde ;)
AlarmRenze, i know thats why i asked here :)
alanciooh I see, it is incompatibly with focus under mouse :(
RenzeAlarm: gnome panel problems go to #gnome
Alarmi use kde, no worry
