kdefreakwill just restart X :S
Renzekdefreak: caps lock stuck on?
Alethesthunder_storm: Control Center/Regional & Accessibilty/Global Shortcuts/Lock Session
kdefreakRenze: no
Renzekdefreak: might be a PAM problem
thunder_stormAlethes: Yes, i do that - if i put this in the hotkeys.conf, there comes some error: hotkeys: unable to open APM device: No such file or directory
i dont believe that
Aletheswhy are you editing hotkeys.conf?
Renzethunder_storm: why are you editing the file directly when there is a perfectly usable GUI to do that for you?
thunder_stormyou have an reason for it?
tzbishopexplody: i think i got the problem. i just need the answer
Alethesthunder_storm: Control Center/Regional & Accessibilty/Global Shortcuts/Lock Session <-- go there :P
thunder_stormAlethes: And here can i use Special-Keys on my Keyboard?
Alethesof course
I use my sleep button
Renzeso do I
tzbishopexplody: when I log into terminal (tty) (init 3),PATH has /opt/kde/bin. When I enter on init 4/KDM, appears a xterm and my path on that xterm is /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games
thunder_stormoh no :-) why the german guys tell me, i MUST use the hotkeys-tool?
AlethesRenze: I developed a workaround for my kio_http issue
thunder_storm: listen to the canadian and nz guys
:D
thunder_stormAlethes: That means, i can remove the hotkeys-app permanently ? :-)
Alethesyou don't need another hotkeys app installed
kde can do it
Renzeno, don't listen to the canadians! they produce ATi stuff!
Aletheshaha
and blackberries
explodytzbishop: I'm not sure where slackware puts it, but check your path in (for example) /etc/bashrc /etc/profile /etc/bash_profile /etc/env.d/*
and I mean "PATH" as in the env variable
tzbishopexplody: only /etc/profile exists on slackware
AlethesRenze: I decided to kill any kio_http processes older than one min, but grepped only the processes being used by konq
so I use kget for downloads
tzbishopexplody: bash-3.1# cat /etc/profile|grep kde
RenzeAlethes: yes, you told me that already
AlethesI did?
I didn't get it working til lastnight
Renzeyup
