[R]edt: you have to manually remove the old version
sharp15is anyone else here having problems with openoffice-bin for oo.org version 2.2? (i'm trying to decide if it's a gentoo problem or a openoffice problem)
AlaanCtrl+click on the trackpad. It doesn't work
edt[R] of dev-java/ant-core or ant itself?
Boohbahbsdfox_: this is logik3x's kernel we're talking about ;)
[R]edt: both
deadheadtry it, no magician , but reducing the wake up from idle help reducing consuption : you could do that using power throtteling and having a kernel properly configured, I suggested the svn version since correct some bugs I found corrected by the authos
Boohbahlogik3x: in your post you are emerging orinoco-9999, try orinoco-usb-9999
bsdfox_deadhead: I'm actually not running 2.6.21 yet or I would give it a shot
this system is amd/nvidia based too so I dunno if it would work anyways
cruxeternusBoohbah: That ebuild won't emerge because it has no keywords.
Boohbahthen we need to add some!
edt[R] thanks - that resolves the blocks
sampeAlaan: when you start gpm - do you force it into 2 or 3 button mode?
Boohbahlogik3x: cp /usr/portage/net-wireless/orinoco-usb/orinoco-usb-9999.ebuild to an overlay and edit it
logik3x: change KEYWORDS="" to KEYWORDS="x86"
deadheadbsdfox_, it works even without 2621
[R]that it SO not how you do it
Boohbahstupid ebuilds
[R]you add it to package.keywords
not hack the non-broken ebuild
Boohbah[R]: read the ebuild
cruxeternus[R]: Can you add keywords that are missing?
Boohbah[R]: there are no keywords in the ebuild
[R]you add ** to package.keywords when there are no keywords
Boohbahi guess i have been away from ebuild hacking for a while...
cruxeternus[R]: Ok, that's what I was looking for.
goodwillwhat util do I use to see all use flags that a particular ebuild can use
[R]goodwill: emerge -pv blah or eix blah
deadheadbut in that version the program could read CONFIG_TIMER_STATS
Boohbahecho 'net-wireless/orinoco-usb **' >> /etc/portage/package.keywords && emerge -vp net-wireless/orinoco-usb
logik3x:
soloslinger[R]: with a little help I found out what was wrong. the encryption methods have to be compiled directly into the kernel, not as modules (at least for my case)
shardzI keep getting this error message with X: http://rafb.net/p/bw402V29
[R]they are modules here
shardz: i get not found
Boohbahshardz: your link is dead
gigrrlThank you Martin!
shardzk, lemme check it
I keep getting this error message with X: http://rafb.net/p/bw402V29.html
