kojirothoth: er...
thoth: nothing wrong there
ctpxfce`dawg: and it rocks ;-)
Odi2.6.20-15
xfce`dawgctp: just use the -pv switch
antaruskojiro: do you contribute data to gentoo at all?
ctpxfce`dawg: ok
kojiroantarus: I ... uh, don't think so?
antaruskojiro: I had this idea that maybe anonymous ftp access would be somewhat beneficial to people
thothkojiro: thats what I get on --pretent.. the pk locked with the damn ati-drivers
kojiroantarus: unless I'm haxored :)
blitz997Odi, was this ever working... say with .19 or earlier?
xfce`dawgctp: i kinda like gnome, but kde is nice too , same with xfce
arrummzenDoes the package automatically configure the system to run updatedb regularly, or must I add that to my crontab?
OdiI do not know
Toph4guys am back, just one quick question, you happen to know if theres a link for gentoo installation on video?
antaruskojiro: set up correctly with quotas ;)
blitz997Odi, try it with .19
antarusI can see -infra pissed off by the idea already
kojirothoth: emerge -p system gives you OK results, so what command fails?
xfce`dawghmm too bad i cant mount my 2 new drives
thothkojiro: emerge -uDN system
Odithat may be... a little complicated :/
kojirothoth: then pastebin emerge -uDNp system please :)
blitz997look for an earlier version of gentoo-sources and use emerge =sys-kernel-gentoo-sources-<version> to get them
ctpxfce`dawg: the kde devs have done fine work in the new kde releases. kde's speed is impressive now.
kojirothoth: no sense 'pretending' what you aren't planning to do
blitz997Odi, why complicated
Melioratori'm trying to setup a raid0 array, but i'm getting ''mdadm: error opening /dev/md1: No such device or address'' when i do ''mdadm --create --verbose /dev/md1 --level=1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/hdk1 /dev/hdl1'', but i created the node already with ''mknod /dev/md1 b 9 1'' and checked if it exists (which it did)...anyone any ideas please?
xfce`dawgctp: know if jfs remembers if it was already mounted?
SpaTcan someone tell me why grub is not capable to boot windows 98 but can boot winxp?
Odibecause... this is not a gentoo computer :(
kojiroantarus: The only reason I haven't done various things like that is because my home network is a flaky $expletive.
thothkojiro: http://www.pastebin.ca/485013
antarusMeliorator: don't make the node by hand
kojiroantarus: I'm not against the idea, but I think it'd be more frustrating for the users than it's worth
blitz997Odi, well what are you running... what os
antarusMeliorator: mdadm has a flag to make the nobe
node*
kojiro: k
