hardcoffeei m noob on gentoo :(
Chicagohardcoffee: Welcome aboard. :D
cd_romhardcoffee: you're not! :D
hardcoffeedeface, do u have a documentation of all option exating with make.conf ??
cd_romcan't stop you if you want to be one!
roger55hardcoffee, man make.conf and /etc/make.conf.example
eliasphardcoffee: /etc/make.conf.example
Draconx|Laptopmaniek, unless you have something really obscure you're not likely to run into problems, as long as you use the most recent kernel version.
defaceeliasp - INPUT_DEVICES isn't even in the .example
hardcoffeecd_rom, that u re a good man :)
cd_romhehe! np
defacehardcoffee - INPUT_DEVICES="keyboard mouse evdev"
hardcoffeethx all ^^ for u re answer (lol deface input is no in example .... )
cd_romdeface: what is evdev?
hardcoffeekeyboard and mouse is in it
Chicagoand joysticks
chitheadcd_rom: evdev is event driven
saschahlhardcoffee: what do you want to do? why do you need the joystick package?
ChicagoMost people run into EVDEV when they want extra buttons to work with their mouse on Xv7
defaceechz - ListenAddress 192.168.1.1 .. you cant bind it via interface, only ip - so you'll need to static one of your ethX's
Janoshes gonna yank the joystick!
cd_romchithead:thanks
Janos:)
hardcoffeefor have /dev/js0 cause emerge joystick is buged :/
testsubjectnumbels
defaceno ls!
testsubjectnumbewoops, heh,
echzdeface ah so i pretty much cant use ssh for a dhcp connection?
saschahlhardcoffee: the kernel module will provide the /dev/input/js0
theBeardeface, listen address * doesn't work ?
saschahlcheck this. you can symlink it to /dev/js0. The joystick package is for testing and calibrating. you should not need to use it
defaceechz - yeah you can, but it'll have to listen on all interfaces
hardcoffeehumm so i have make a bad manip on my kernel compilation ??
defacetheBear - he's trying to bind on via INTERFACE
echzright now ListenAddress is set to 0.0.0.0 == i tried setting it to my external IP and restarting sshd but it didnt work either
FlashtekAnyone here used Beryl ?
defaceFlashtek - #gentoo-xeffects
theBeardeface, oh.. i thought he wanted both
echzdeface - i dont mind having all interfaces listening
theBearor all
