Shaftocd_rom, or is it like aptitude?
cd_romShafto: don't think so
eliaspShafto: yes, but you should know what you do... depends on, what you're doing
deadeyeseliasp: isn't /sbin a better place? it is for system tools... but I don't know alot about the dir structure of Linux and where I should put what
AllenJB|2Shafto: Depends on what you're doing it can cause problems
RiverRatdeadeyes: /etc/init.d/ and then you can use it with rc-update (provided it was written in Gentoo's rc format). If not then call it from /etc/init.d/local
Shaftoeliasp, I wanted to install some music player or something, im dying without music, while compiling kernel
AllenJB|2Shafto: It's better to raise the -j option of MAKEOPTS (in /etc/make.conf) instead
ShaftoAllenJB|2, Ill stick to one at a time :P
deadeyesRiverRat: did not write it in rc format
eliaspdeadeyes: you're right.. sbin would be probably better
cokesluthey
rsteeleHi
eliaspdeadeyes: why don't you use wpa_supplicant for connecting to a WLAN?
cokeslutunsure
rsteeleI'll think about it
Priest-of-Psirtorrent++
eliaspdeadeyes: then put all WLAN users into the plugdev group or create a new wlan group and use this group (configurable in wpa_supplicant.conf)

eliaspEvgeniyN: these are no kernel modules, they are X.org modules
EvgeniyNeliasp, so, where i can get modules =)
klyncEvgeniyN: to load those, edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and then re-start X
eliaspEvgeniyN: they're loaded through adding them to xorg.conf (assumed they're installed)
richiefrichRiverRat: no go it is powerISO only
eliaspEvgeniyN: emerge xorg-server, according use-flags need to be set before
