luke-jr_workWhy does USE=aiglx disappear from xorg-server 1.2?
SmileyLapWTF WTF WTF WTF WTF?!!!!?!?!?!!?
:( i just upgraded the kernel, and POOF, broken again :(
nidevluke-jr_work, find the changelog in /usr/portage/
dexterrmaxdamage: Okay, I did it again now and now I'm getting some other errors when I start X
nidevI think, aiglx flag becomes default flag.
dexterrAhh! It's the TLS error
maxdamagedexterr, hmm...
luke-jr_worknidev: aha, so it's required now, not optional :)
thanks
grknightluke-jr_work, Bump. Upstream incorporated some version of all of our patches, so no more need for the aiglx USE flag.
maxdamageI remember there was a discussion about that TLS thingie.
nidev:)
dexterrmaxdamage: If I fix that error I know that X will just black out when I start it

tommyangelois it normal that /proc/sys/vm/swappiness doesn't exist on my machine?
I was trying to change it but I got this: -su: /proc/sys/vm/swappiness: No such file or directory
ie I can't create it either apparently
nidevtommyangelo, It contains only integer :(
tommyangelonidev: what do you mean?
nidevBut It seems to be quiet important for something.
nidev@prLive ~ $ cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness
60

tommyangeloyeah it regulates whether or not the kernel uses swap sooner rather than later
tess ~ # cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness
cat: /proc/sys/vm/swappiness: No such file or directory
