FalconKirtaran-t
chithead_azaghal: is virtual/jdk installed?
_azaghalchithead: Removed that one as well.
FalconKirtarandwellshere, perhaps try downgrading it? I'm running one version prior and it works.
chithead_azaghal: what happens if you put sun-jdk-1.4* in package.mask?
dwellsherefalconkirtaran, will try, thanks
_azaghalchithead: I'll give it a go, just a moment.
GODfalconkirtaran: thanks.
_azaghalchithead: It's gonna take some time ;)
GODOh, and, incidentally, environment varialbes I export that I want to exist permanently in my environment should be added to .bash_profile -- correct?
*variables
_azaghalDo all the java-based packages depend on one of the virtual/jre or virtual/jdk packages? Or they make direct dependenices sometimes?
FalconKirtaranGOD, I think so. That's the first thing it loads that is at all user-specific.
_azaghalAh, sorry, people. app-office/openoffice-2.1.0-r1 (java? =virtual/jre-1.4*)
FalconKirtaranX | X != 0...
geodesichey, can anybody tell me what theme this is please? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:GentooWithKDE34.png
laser-#KDE ?
and kde-look.org
FalconKirtaranif I may ask, what is elibc?
_azaghalgeodesic: If you find out what theme that one was, let me know ;)
NDAKOTAwhen partitioning, what is "invalid blocks count"?
ArmOrAttAkwhat's the big idea putting an sbin/runscript shebang line for init.d startup files!?
gentoodudeey
hey*
FalconKirtarangeodesic, same.
NDAKOTA, is your BIOS configured properly?
tuxickArmOrAttAk: a wrapper?
geodesicheh, I will. I've been struggling to work it out though which is why I asked here. :-)
drphibesi thought the timestamp prevented -sync's that cause ur tree to go backward in time
NDAKOTAfal, which section of bios
gentoodudei emerged fvmw-crystal, xfce and fluxbox and decided i dont want them, i emerged fvwm.. i want to _completely_ remove fvwm-crystal, xfce and fluxbox.. emerge -C doesnt seem to suffice.. what command should i run please? thanks so much
FalconKirtaranNDAKOTA, are you trying to partition a partition or something that doesn't like having an MBR?
NDAKOTA, the one that defines disk geometry.
If you have borked drives, it might not autodetect them properly
at which point I might suggest getting a new HDD :P
NDAKOTAit's just that one partition of the disk has problems
drphibesi just sync'd to rsync://129.110.111.9/gentoo-portage and my tree went backward in time
FalconKirtaranNDAKOTA, allocate it a sane amount of blocks then
cfdisk should force it
mptechDoes xen-sources include all the patches from gentoo-sources as well?
