trinityhi, on my laptop i had ACCEPT_KEYWORDS enabled in /etc/make.conf ...now since i commented this line out i got a emerge problem with many packages...is there something to really clean up my system?
cheeseboye100: eth1: e100_probe: addr 0xfc50a000, irq 21, MAC addr 00:0B:CD:64:1D:83
e100: eth1: e100_watchdog: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex
eth1: no IPv6 routers present
kojirotrinity: :(
_AxS_e100.. cool
kojirotrinity: you can't go back to stable after ACCEPT_KEYWORDS has been set
CelticSoulkojiro: I rebooted a few times already
hannesd_AxS_: I'll be back later, I need to go to customer. If you have something in the meantime you might send it to `hd@imos.net'. Thanks for all your time.
cheeseboyhuh?
Fieldytrinity: set to what?
_AxS_hannesd: ok np
rornautilus is a crash machine
cheeseboy_AxS now wat?
kojiroCelticSoul: What happened between the last time this worked, and now?
_AxS_cheeseboy: do this: echo e100 >/etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6
trinitykojiro: cant i recompile with stable or something?
kojiroCelticSoul: What happened between the last time this worked, and *the first time it failed?
_AxS_cheeseboy: OH WAYT
cheeseboyin chroot?
kojirotrinity: you can reinstall, but no, you *CANNOT* downgrade glibc
_AxS_cheeseboy: make that with two >'s: echo e100 >>/etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6
cheeseboy: yeah in the chroot
trinity: ~arch is a one-way ticket, if you upgrade glibc
cheeseboyok
now what?
_AxS_cheeseboy: exit the chroot, reboot
kojirotrinity: you can, however, force a specific version of *every* package you have installed, and then as things get upgraded you'll slowly revert back to stable
trinity: however, since you removed ACCEPT_KEYWORDS it's tough to tell just how inconsistent your system is now
CelticSoulkojiro: when I realized the system is freez, I reset power off my compt. when it restarts, it hangs at * Clearning /tmp...
_AxS_trinity: or allow your application and library packages to be downgraded but keep gcc/glibc/the rest of system as ~arch
kojiroCelticSoul: boot with a liveCD and manually fsck
CelticSoulkojiro: ok, I'll try that
kojiro: thank you
kojiroCelticSoul: wait
CelticSoul: is /tmp a separate partition?
CelticSoulkojiro: yes?
kojiroCelticSoul: great!
CelticSoulkojiro: no, same as /
kojiroCelticSoul: oh :(
